One problem with that idea is if they are Earth's only defenders, don't they leave it defenseless if they all go explore the Multi-verse? Which I think would be a issue right after just dealing with the biggest threat yet in Galaticus.
They could just be making short trips and coming back to Earth.

I assume their Earth is destroyed. Or they think it is and they wind up in "Battle World".

People, they are not going to let Galactus eat F4's Earth.

Not only would that be a massive downer of an ending, having the F4 fail so spectacularly completely undercuts their inclusion in the MCU. This isn't Infinity War, where we'd seen the Avengers win again and again so it's shocking to see them lose. It's a new team. If Marvel immediately labels them losers who let billions die nobody will go see the sequel.

I personally expect the F4 to have to sacrifice themselves to stop Galactus. Which results in them getting thrown into the multiverse at the end, setting them up to return in Doomsday.

That makes sense but I think at some point they would need to write in a reason why they will be staying in the Prime universe. I don't think they will soon want to do much more universe hoping in the franchise. Might be a exception though for another Deadpool movie.

Until now, Evans was the best Johnny Storm. Loved seeing him pop up in the Deadpool movie.

Yeah. I was pretty happy to see him back as johnny storm as well. It was a bit of a downer when he got his skin torn off and died.

Definitely. That's such an iconic match up we'll have to get it at some point, but now that we have a smart Hulk, I'm sure it will be due to some kind confusion due to Doom's manipulations, so it probably won't last long.

I'm not so sure they'll be staying in 616, I just assume it'll be like Supergirl and the other Arrowverse shows pre-Crisis, with the FF just occasionally jumping over from their home universe to 616 for the crossovers. The only way I could maybe see them staying 616 is if they somehow alter things at the end of Secret Wars so they were always from there. I can't imagine them not saving or restoring their home universe, and after they do, I can't imagine them not going home.
EDIT: This is in response to @Jayson1's post, Tron's post came up while I was writing this.

Along with our first Hulk vs Wolverine fight.

We might. I would prefer savage hulk but it looks like smart hulk is here to stay. But even savage hulk wasn't so threatening at times. Even Thanos beat him without using the stones. The Hulks portrayal as well as Banners has been disappointing to me.

He did have one of the stones by that point.

Look at the gauntlet during the fight. The stone was not glowing. He wasnt using it. He was fighting the hulk without using the stone. He beat the Hulk with his own fighting skills not enhanced or helped by the stones at all.

Unless, as I said, it's not the end of the film but the end of the first act, the setback that motivates their journey in the rest of the film. It wouldn't be the first time that the initial trailer focused only on the first act of the film to hold back the reveal of what happened later.

That's possible, but again, I'd prefer them to explore a new realm by choice than be flung into it against their will, because being explorers is a key part of what defines them.

Or maybe Reed invents a thingy that flings Galactus into a parallel universe, but then realizes that he's put another Earth in danger by doing so, and he leads the team to that Earth to save it.

That's one possibility, but I'm skeptical. If that were the story, then the movie wouldn't really work as its own self-contained movie, only as a prologue to later stories. That would be bad storytelling structure. A lot of the biggest franchise-movie flops have failed because their makers got so fixated on setting up future movies that they forgot to make the current movie satisfactory and thus produced bombs that never got the sequels they were setting up (e.g. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 or Tom Cruise's The Mummy). Ideally, whatever the story of a movie is about needs to be resolved within the movie, even if it leaves a lingering thread that sets up a future movie. For instance, Quantumania introduced the Kang threat to the movies, but it gave a conclusive ending to the conflict with its specific Kang, leaving the rest as a teaser.

However, I suppose one possibility might be that their world's destruction is the end of the first act, while the second act is their arrival on Earth-616 and the third act is them saving 616 from Galactus like they failed to save their own Earth. That way it's a complete story, not just a fragment of one. And it's a debut that lets them prove themselves as effective heroes rather than failures.

Still, I'd prefer something less pessimistic, something where they succeed in saving their Earth, learn of the multiverse from Galactus, and choose to explore it as their next adventure.

Agreed. The FF are explorers. If they cross universes it will be by choice.

Watching the trailer on a big screen, none of the effects are first rate or particularly impressive. They're (mostly) not bad, but nothing new or remarkable that would challenge any big CG effects house in terms of design or technique.

I guess there's a sort of accepted median standard of "That'll do" for superhero films now.

The vibe is great, though.

Yeah. The surfer isnt as shiny as the one we saw 18 years ago. The cgi rendering seems of pooer quality. But its not terrible. I do have high hopes for galactus and the Taa.
