Make up a fake bit of Trek trivia!

Scotty was really drunk in several episodes- they used real alcohol to get the real affect.
On TNG, everybody admitted to being drunk during the filming of Naked Now.

On DS9 10.5% of the cast admitted to being mildy drunk during the filming of, "Move Along Home"

30% of the cast of Voyager admitted to being drunk during the filming of certain scenes.

75.9% of the cast of Enterprise admitted to being intoxicated on the set at least 65% of the time.

97% of cast members of all series admit that starring on Trek was a good experience.

Geneviève Bujold was 100% swacked when she signed the contract to play Kathryn Janeway.

On the second day of shooting the pilot, she didn't so much quit, as she just kind of wandered
off the studio lot ... never to be seen again.

FACT: Tuesday Weld attended the premier of GEN, and after the showing walked up to Alan Ruck, gave him a hard kick, and spewed some profanity.

FACT: The studio was trying to get Matthew Broderick to play Harriman but he wanted no part of it and that's when they first got the idea to cast Alan Ruck.

FACT: Mia Sara was originally up for the role of Harriman, however the producers thought that a woman had been cast as a captain in The Voyage Home, and so they didn't ever have to do it again.

Chekov was originally going to be Captain of the Enterprise-B in GEN, but Koenig felt he'd already been made to look enough of an incompetent boob in just about every prior movie, so kicked up a fuss until they changed it to Harriman...

Fact: The studio execs wanted a meeting with Berman and Lauritson before making the final casting choice for Capt. Harriman but were told the producers wouldn't be arriving until Tuesday!

FACT: A proposed spinoff for ENT would have been "Star Trek: Deep Space One" and would have featured the characters of Mayweather and Sato reassigned to a newly-built space station in the mysterious Trill Sector. One of the new characters introduced would have been Tobin Dax.

That made me feel terrible just reading that. Peter David if you are reading this, do NOT get any ideas!

FACT: When working on the VOY episode Tsunkatse, Jeri Ryan said something about Borg implants, whereupon The Rock looked at her boobs and did his eyebrow thing, promopting Jeri Ryan to knock him out with a powerful right cross.

Here are 5 I just made up.
1. The padds used in DS9 were the inspiration for the iPad
2. The pocket communicators in TOS were the inspiration for flip cell phones.
3. Captains Pike, Kirk and Picard were each originally supposed to be African-American.
4. The character Dr. McCoy was originally supposed to be a female character similar to Next Generation season 2's Dr. Pulaski.
5. The chief engineer of Voyager was originally supposed to be half Klingon and half Romulan like the Klingon-Romulan mix children in the 2nd part of TNG 2 part episode Birthright.

^ I really like #5. B'Elanna she would not have been, but I think the character could have been really intriguing.

Isn't that what basically happened? I mean, you can interpret it in 20 different ways, or asked what happened in 20 different ways, but that's basically what happened.

Here's my latest juicy made up bit of Trek trivia.
Dr. Pulaski was originally supposed to be a beautiful, giggly, blonde in her early 30s-(30-34).

My sister likes Dev Patel better, though. [chuckle] And my friend is dating a girl from Sri Lanka, who lives in Los Angeles.
