Papelbon does it again for his ninth save, keeping the Sox one game behind the impressive Jays.

A nice 1-2-3 for Boston teams tonight: B's, C's, and Sox. :)

Pablo Sandoval for the win!!!!

I was at AT&T park tonight, and this is a great example of why I hate leaving games early. What a win for the Giants and Little Panda comes through. Hell freaking yes. :techman::techman:

Just out of curiosity, but why did you leave the game early?

Maybe it's because I don't get a lot of chances to go to games, but when I do, I never leave early. But there's been a few times where (in hindsight) leaving early might have been a good move.

Jayson Werth had a good day - stole 2nd, 3rd (2x) and home in the Phillies 5-3 win.

Thank goodness the Nats have no pitching, those guys are bombing it right now.

Pandamonium at AT&T (saw this at another site)

I don't. I'm just pointing out that it's wrong to leave the game early for the reasons you and I just mentioned. :)

Did you use the two for one Tuesday deal? It sounds like there are a bunch of good promotions now that the crowds have scaled back to the low 20's.

No. It was a special night for the district my mom works for so we got tickets through them.

I'm glad to see the Mets are on ESPN tonight. Santana vs. Lowe should be a great matchup.

I didn't realize the Mets were in first until someone mentioned it on Sportscenter.

And where did this Niese kid come from? He can pitch!

Let's hope they don't blow it yet again...

Nats won today. :techman: They're still the worst team in both leagues ()...but at least they're trying...

^I know, whodathunkit?

It's weird, they are in first place, but all the same concerns/complaints I had about them going into the season are still there.

Yeah I don't the Yanks have enough to win it this year: aging stars, suspect bullpen, inconsistent starting picthers. But they do have enough talented players to beat the better teams on a given day.

I really wish they'd save some of it for Boston, next time. :p

I am once again amazed by the ability to rally from behind the Mets seem to have suddenly acquired. This game tonight is definitely a nail-biter, keeping me up way too freakin' late!

I'm amazed that the BullPen once again fucks it up ruining a good effort from Lincecum. Why is Brian Wilson the closer. Until he shapes up, it should be Bullpen by Committee.

Nah. I like seeing the Sox take the broom to the Yankees. I think I left mine under one of the overpriced empty seats at New Yankee Stadium. :guffaw:

The bullpen for the Twins blew it again against the Yankees. They need a long outing from Slowey today because they don't have a lot of relievers left if he gets in trouble early.

Nice outing from the Doctor today. 7 IP with two runs, one earned. Bats were working well, too, driving in eight to give the Jays their third win in a row over the White Sox. Hopefully we can manage the four-game sweep tomorrow with Richmond on the hill.

The real test begins Tuesday... taking on the Red Sox in their house is always a challenge, but the Jays have always had good luck against Boston. With any luck, we can take two of three and solidify our hold on the AL East. Fingers crossed!
