Maisie Williams' character is getting a novel

For those of us who'd rather not be spoiled - can you share the author and release date? Or are those not listed?

Williams would be a great companion in the future. Maybe even a good Doctor in years to come.

10th of December, written by the ever popular TBC. (Actually from the description it could also be a collection of short stories, so there could be multiple authors.)

I would say the sentence beginning with "The stories in [book title]" makes it very clear that it is an anthology of sorts. Probably in the vein of "The Story of Martha".

I was thinking more Tales of Trenzalore. (TBH, I completely forgot about The Story of Martha.)

So, based on the fact it's listed as "Hardcover" and the price, I assume this is going to be an "adult" hardcover?

EDIT: After just looking this up on Amazon, they have a page count of 224, making it shorter than a typical NSA. They also have "Various" written in the author spot, suggesting it is indeed an anthology. And at that length, probably something similar to Tales of Trenzalore, which I believe the print edition totaled at about 200 pages.

Legends of Ashildr

Never-before-told stories of The Woman Who Lived. Ashildr, a young Viking girl, died helping the Doctor and Clara to save her village. Brought back to life by the Doctor using alien technology, she is now immortal - The Woman Who Lived. Since then, Ashildr has kept journals, detailing her extraordinary life. The stories in 'The Legends of Asildr' are selections from these journals. It offers a remarkable glimpse into Ashildr's adventures over her first three hundred years, from enduring the Black Death in London to pirate voyages through the mythical Fortunate Isles. Written by Justin Richards, James Goss, David Llewelyn and Jenny Colgan.

“Ashildr, a young Viking girl, died helping the Doctor and Clara to save her village. Brought back to life by the Doctor using alien technology, she is now immortal – The Woman Who Lived. Since then, Ashildr has kept journals, detailing her extraordinary life. The Legends of Ashildr is a glimpse of some of those stories: the terrors she has faced, the battles she has won, and the treasures she has found. These are tales of a woman who lived longer than she should ever have lived – and lost more than she can even remember.”

Featuring four short stories by James Goss, Jenny Colgan, David Llewellyn and Justin Richards

So, since this has been out for a month now: has anyone read this yet?

I'm kind of interested, but would like to hear others opinions first.

I picked it up the day after Christmas, but thanks to deadlines I've yet to start it.

On a similar note, a similar River Song anthology for next summer has been announced.

Like the limitless potential of Benny Summerfield or River Song, the adventures of Ashildr seems tailor made for Big Finish
