Yeah

Honestly, another problem revealed is how much of the budget goes to the actors' salaries, it's been pointed out how Dune part 2 cost less than recent CBMs and one of the reasons is that the actors agreed to a smaller payday compared to the cash that Disney and Sony throw at their actors.

Now, whether this is because the actors simply enjoyed making the movie enough to agree to a lower paycheque or the director convinced them or other reasons...

Really, I feel like anything over a million is ridiculous for an actor. Especially when you consider what a small percentage of SAG even makes enough for health insurance. And its doubly insulting when you look at how much writers, the ones who actually create the thing, make.

Sydney Sweeny as Jean Grey?

Although Jamie Dornan and Dokota Johnson would be alarmingly good stunt casting as Jean and Scott, but then any couple real or fictional would do.
Are people really so in love with these actors they are already wanting them back to play more Marvel characters? I'm not sure about Sweeny, but I didn't think most people really like Dakota Johnson that much.
And there is very, very, very little chance of doing another big effects heavy movies. She hated filming Madame Web, called filming blue screen scenes "psychotic", and has sworn never to do another movie like it. I guess there's a chance if Marvel offered her an absolute shit ton of money or gave her another very compelling reason she might be in the MCU X-Men movies, but I don't know if she's a big enough deal for them to be willing to go to that much effort to convince her to play Jean.
Jaime Dornan was not in Madame Web, but he did have recurring role as The Huntsman in Once Upon a Time which was very effect heavy and played Will Scarlet in the 2018 Robin Hood, which I haven't seen, but appears to be pretty effects heavy to, so obviously doesn't have to same kind of problems with that kind of thing as she does.

Sweeny is about to become a big star. Johnson is likely done in the movies but she might make in a tv show. People seem to like her as a person so that should help.

Dakota wants to be in a Marvel movie.

Sweeney is in Euphoria with Zendaya, so she should have been able to swing it for a cameo into one of her movies.

This thread is about Dakota and Sweeney.

In no other thread would they be "seriously" cast as X-Men.

EVERY FUCKING YEAR since Dakota turned 20, some fuck has approached her to do a Miami Vice remake, reboot or sequel.

She'll be fine.

Jaimie and Dakota were in 50 Shades of Grey together.

That's the hook.

Suddenly everyone is wondering what sort of rough sex bondage Cyclops and Jean Grey are into... Or maybe Cyclops and Emma Frost would be more inappropriate, since she was already a madame at a whore house when we first met her in the comics?

She's already a star for Euphoria, and she's got...2 Emmy Nominations? I'd say shes fine.

I didn't even know who she was until I guess late last year. "Euphoria" might have put her on the map but now she seems to be on the road for increased fame.

Maybe before Madame Web, but she's been very open about how much hated and is never doing another movie like again.

As much as she complains, if she is actually complaining, Sony gave her 5 million dollars.

So what happens when Marvel gives her 30 million to make a movie she's actually proud of?

30 million might make her proud in any movie they would do. Though the question is why would they offer her that kind of money after Madame Web? They should have just got Meryl Streep to play the comic book version of the character. That would have been a drawl.

That may be more comic accurate but I'm not so sure there's a big audience for Old Lady Web.

If they wanted to follow the comics they would have just made her a Spider-Man supporting character, and then they wouldn't have had to worry about her drawing in audiences.

Turns out their wasn't much of a audience for young Madam Web as well. I do think with Streep involved and the unique idea of telling the story basically from a old woman would have might have gotten some people interested in the movie due to simply being original. Of course it might have also worked better as a tv show they license to DisneyPLus.
