Luke Cage season 2

The only way they would end up on Disney's service is if they toned them way down. Disney has said Play won't carry anything beyond a PG-13 level (the level of the MCU and Star Wars movies), and the Netflix Marvel shows are all TV-MA and way darker than what they appear to be going for for Disney Play.

It might not even be a case of "We want to move these characters over to our service", it could just be as petty as "We don't to hurt Netflix, because Netflix is the competition". As I said, Disney has grown very adversarial to other studios.

Well, from what I understand, the writers and showrunners had scripts ready for the third season, bringing the number of episodes down to ten as per Netflix's request. Then Netflix send the scripts to Disney for approval, and they didn't approve, resulting in a heated negotiations which brought Netflix to the point of scrapping the series altogether. I think that's what we've been told.

And it is very easy to speculate in a few different directions.
Maybe Netflix didn't care enough to pay the writers to re-write the season. They already brought the number of episodes down from 13 to 10.
Maybe Disney deliberately sabotaged Netflix because, since Disney Play is gonna launch in about a year, they saw Netflix as the competition, now. Disney as a corporation has grown remarkably adversarial in the past few years, and Marvel with them.
I'll agree the reports aren't clear where the creative differences came from so it's possible it came from Marvel Entertainment. But it's still Netflix that makes the decision not to pay for the reason (hence the cancellation).

After the Fox deal is approved, Disney will have a 60% ownership stake in Hulu, so they could move their more mature programs like the Netflix shows over there. Or at least new shows with the same characters.
I really wish Disney would have just gone with Hulu as the streaming service for a their stuff since they own a chunk of it, but I can see wanting a service they own 100% of.

Frankly, I assumed that they would just turn Hulu into their streaming service when everything was done.

Reportedly, they were initially planning to, but Comcast wouldn't sell their 33.3% share. Comcast had been interested for a few years now in gaining a media foothold in Europe by purchasing Sky News from 20th Century Fox, but they sold it to Disney instead. That's why Comcast kept vainly trying to outbid Disney in the final days of the negotiations. Not selling their Hulu share is probably their way of giving Disney and Bob Iger the middle finger.

If Disney owned 100% of Hulu: my guess is that they would have Hulu add-ons for various types of Disney content (similar to how Amazon Prime has additional "channels" that can be added for a fee).

I’m getting a ways into Luke Cage season two and given that it was cancelled I have the question of weather there were lingering threads at the end of the season on my mind.

I’m assuming everything doesn’t get wrapped up nicely, but I’m hoping there’s just a final tag scene that leaves you hanging. Can anyone give me some spoiler free guidance about if it’s possible to stop the episode at a certain point where everything is as wrapped up as possible and I won’t even watch this hypothetical cliffhanger tag that I’m guessing about.

I don't think there's a separate "cliffhanger tag" per se. All the threads of the season are pretty well tied off, although it does end with a resolution that's also the creation of a new status quo leaving us wondering what would happen next. But lots of stories end that way, with their characters facing new beginnings.
