Of course he was.He was in the novels.
would Harry Mudd still be around 120 years later? I'm surprised being trapped on a planet with clones of his wife would make him go MAD!
Come to think of it … Do we even know just who the designer of the Cerritos is?
Interesting!!! No, this hasn’t been answered yet. This is the first time I’m hearing anything about a magazine for the model even existing. The XL model I got from Master Replicas didn’t include one. I’ve found nothing online about it and haven’t seen anyone even so much as mention it. Thanks so much for letting us know, Markus!I dont't know if this question has already been answered but Eaglemoss' XL Cerritos had a magazine and according to the article in it the ship was for the most part designed by Mike McMahan, Eric Nyquist, Joseph Martinez and Bobby Walker. McMahan engaged Nyquist to flesh out the shape of the Cerritos. After that was done he worked with Martinez, Walker and "a larger team of artists" on the details and the conversion of that shape to a fully-realized ship for the show. So, yes, you could say the Cerritos was designed by committee.
Another interesting info from the magazine: The Cerritos was at first named USS Aldrin and then USS San Diego before McMahan heard the town of Cerritos mentioned in a radio ad.
Thanks so much for sharing this! What a delightful, cool and hilarious person! I love listening to Tawny Newsome. She’s so full of enthusiasm for everything she does and everyone she’s working with, but not to a point where she’s seems to view everything through rose-tinted glasses. The moment where she says that she doesn't exactly love voice acting and that acting is her true passion was a revelation. I feel I should make an effort to try and watch more of her live action work. That Netflix project with Kevin Hart sounds pretty cool.
Specifically, it was an ad for the Cerritos Auto Square that inspired the name. I lived near there for a few years, and it gave me a chuckle whenever I'd walk past it.Another interesting info from the magazine: The Cerritos was at first named USS Aldrin and then USS San Diego before McMahan heard the town of Cerritos mentioned in a radio ad.
Twice, I've had to take my 2018 Leaf ("Millie," because she's "thoroughly modern") to the body shop at the Nissan dealership there. Thankfully, the second time, I was able to use the services of the Enterprise rental facility next door.Specifically, it was an ad for the Cerritos Auto Square that inspired the name.
Kurtzman also helped decide the theme for Lower Decks.EDIT to add that I also had no idea Alex Kurtzman was that much of a champion of her aspirations as a writer. I gained so much respect for him through listening to Tawny describe their relationship. He seems pretty cool.
~ Amazing! Great work @Michael, and some very fancy warp nacelles going on there - I like the Vulcan-style rings the bestAs for my own efforts to contact Mike McMahan and Brad Winters on Twitter, unfortunately I wasn't able to make them notice me and answer my questions.![]()
I even went so far and created a mockup of a look at the hypothetical magazine, complete with text I made up, just to maybe catch their attention. All in vain, however …![]()
