Lorca: Fans Will Have To Adjust

You are reading something into my comment, which simply was never there.

Well you did respond with: "Says someone who is here since 2001 and has written 17,415 messages." Which probably comes across negatively, and I understand why. You imply that he's lying somehow about wanting to invest in 'real-life experiences'; you insinuate that the magnitude of postings on a message board indicate that he doesn't 'have a life' or anything.

Next time, just add a winkie!

Says someone who is here since 2001 and has written 17,415 messages. ;)

Looks a lot different, doesn't it? ;)

Yes, I know and I personally don't mind it. It just appeared that Kor was giving out an advice, he hasn't followed himself. I was commenting on that. Not criticizing in itself that people spend time on this forum. I mean why should I? I am here myself.
I did some very rough math, and it comes out to just under 3 posts a day. I bet a lot of them were two or three-worders. His daily time-investment is minimal.

And the same goes for everyone else who's been here a long time. While the total time may add up, that's a reductive way of looking at things.

And, as much as we love to tease him, I'd bet that even @cooleddie74 total time investment--on a per-day basis--isn't very significant.

And, as @Kemaiku pointed out, most of those posts aren't Trek-related at all.

Really, the percentage of people who spend hours a day pounding out tl;drs arguing over the trivialities of Star Trek is rather small. But it does stand out.

I implied that he wasn't following his own advice. Nothing more, nothing less.
I didn't say anything about what he posted about or that "he has no life". Even with a lot of messages you can of course still have an exciting private life.
And personally I doubt a smiley would have made a difference, but next time I add one. ;)
I won't say anything more about this and derail the thread further.

I will be interested in the level of fan-rage once the show actually starts.

Do we need a model of a starship to show the muggle audience where Captain Malfoy touched the childhood's canon?

Is that Japanese you're speaking. Some of those words are words I've never heard of.

I would also appreciate it if you would tone down your rhetoric, @kirk55555. We get that you think that Isaacs is a "gigantic asshole" and a "prick" and so on. You've mentioned it about a million times now. This is riling people up at this point because the tone is so completely outlandish and extreme.
It ends up just making the thread about you because people want to react to that type of language and hate.

Let's have a civil discussion here please or I bet we'll see more infractions soon. This thread has turned into a pretty ugly landfill.

Maybe Lorca will have to adjust to people not subscribing out of principle. I was going to get All Access regardless of STD, now I probably won't. It sounds like they're making a shit show and are laughing about the fact that Trekkies will watch it anyway. Well, good luck.
