He is a complete one, but that doesn't mean he doesn't do good work. One of my favorite films is "Christmas Vacation" with Fletch in there somewhere. I think when he impersonates a surgeon is my favorite scene. But, irregardless, his personal attitude towards cast or crew is annoying, but to them. I just find it distasteful, but can still enjoy his work. I haven't exactly warmed up to the Lorca character, and maybe never will, but the actor's opinions are just that-opinions. I don't think anyone stopped criticizing "Star Wars" because George Lucas said to.
Sometimes I still say my name is John Cocktoston to see if anyone gets it. "Can I borrow your towel for a sec? My car ran into a water buffalo."
I am always amused when a Trek creative acts like a real human, with the result that the worst segments of fandom lose their shit.
Well I'm not paying to watch it because my kodi will let me see it for free. Not going to pay extra money per month just to see a star trek that doesn't want to follow canon. Ill watch it for free and tear it apart here on trektoday.
Come on! This has got to be proof you don't believe in some of the crazy stuff you say in The Neutral Zone. As for as bait goes at trying to get people mad this has got to be to ovious. Only thing missing is a rant or defense of the actor playing Lorca. Either one will do. Jason

Well surely there must have been at channel where Star Trek followed Canon. Especially now after CBS took Star Trek.
What an arrogant and insufferable attitude. Especially considering the tepid response so far from many fans, or the fact that zero of the usual merchandisers have made any firm commitments. Aside from Ghostbusters, I seem to remember similar quotes from the creators and actors of Stargate Universe. "Fans will just have to get used to it, blah blah..." Until of course their smirks were wiped off by the fact that ratings cratered, since many fans stayed away. And the ones who watched it just to complain about how bad it was, downloaded it with BitTorrent or watched it on pirate sites, making the ratings drop further.
They should have watched bad Stargate, just so there would be any Stargate? That's like saying watch bad Star Trek just so CBS will continue to make Star Trek. If CBS doesn't produce a version of Star Trek I want to watch, I'm not going to watch their new Star Trek.
Well, to be fair - the SGU folks were trying to do nuBSG with Stargate writers. Fail. Discovery, so far, looks to be trying to do modern TV serialized drama with, uh, Star Trek writers. It'll be nice if they avoid the Roger DeBris Effect, but it ain't looking good.
No. "Quality" in popular culture is entirely subjective. So many folks lionize Frank Miller, for example - not only as a writer but as an artist. Fuck, Liefeld has fans.
Trek needed the quantity to get the quality everyone thinks is there. There are a ton of piss poor episodes of Star Trek across the entire franchise. About a third of it is actually watchable.
