Looking for a couple British (TV?) movies that aired on PBS in the 80s

When I was a little kid, I loved these two movies, but now I can't remember much about them. Maybe they came out before the 80s, but I wouldn't have known.

First movie is about a boy with a magic box that can either make him small or fly.

Second is about a planet(?) that doesn't get sunlight, and when the sun finally appears, our lead girl is locked in a room because another character was being a jackass, and she only gets to see a glimpse of the sunlight.

Anyone know what I'm taking about?

The second movie rang a bell,I remember seeing this as a short feature before a movie.It actually was more memorable than the main movie.
Title? "All summer in a day".

^The other one is called The Box of Delights. They're both adaptations of prose works, by Ray Bradbury (All Summer in a Day) and John Masefield (The Box of Delights), and were shown on PBS through WonderWorks.

Looks like The Box of Delights is only available on Region 2 DVD.

I dont remember the first one but the second one I remember as a short story I had to read in school... (i graduated in the 70's) since then I've seen it as a twilight zone episode or some show like that...

I remember one about this kid with weird powers. I think there were other kids in it as well. It was 80s ish and British. I think it was called Cherny or something...?
