I felt like I should have given up on Voyager long ago after that goofy final ep (MORE Borg and C/7?) and in retrospect the endless rounds of chess with the Borg from season 3 forward.

"Ratings are down, let's bring the Borg back, that always packs them in! Let's feature Seven even more!"

I just hope to God Abrams and crew NEVER bring the Borg into the alternate time line set in motion by Star Trek (2009).

I preferred Kes, but what do I know? She had a youthful sweetness never seen before on Trek and was a breath of fresh air.

The Simpsons started repeating the same scenarios and jokes 3 years in. I don't get all the fuss.

The first 8 - 10 eps of South Park were some of the most brilliantly profane, satirical comedy I'd ever seen. By the time they got to Mega-Steisand or whatever it was toward the end of season one, there wasn't any gas left in the tank. Constant cursing and being gross for the sake of being gross isn't funny, it's a lack of talent and imagination.

I gave up on Enterprise in disgust after the space Nazi finale at the end of season 3. I later saw season 4 on DVD and wished the entire run of the show had been handled by Manny Coto. These Are The Voyages is still an awful finale, but Manny didn't really have anything to do with that one.

Our DVR died (yet to be replaced), so we didn't see most of the last season of Monk or the finale. We've yet to see it, so SHHHH if we ever get around to it on DVD, LOL!

See above with Psych, but we may get back into it now that we have On Demand. Didn't really stop liking it, just didn't get back to it.

Both of these are available streaming on Netflix in their entirety if that's a possibility for you.

Voyager. About season four I realized that I just didn't care about anyone or anything they did, and anything vaguely interesting was just going to get reset. I did tune in for the finale, which I hated.

The Simpsons. I think it was season ten when I stopped laughing. And when I found myself bored during the "Treehouse of Horror", which always seemed to be the best and funniest episodes of the series, I stopped watching. I occasionally went back for a random episode every year or so and still didn't laugh.

Family Guy. About a year ago, I found that Brian didn't make me laugh, and I actually wanted to strangle Stewie. Likewise, the DVD commentaries seemed to be made by very bored, uninteresting creators. Used to be, the commentaries were as funny or funnier than the shows.

Quantum Leap. About halfway through, I felt like I had already seen every variation of this theme. It felt formulaic. I did tune in for the final episode, which I enjoyed.

I gave up on ER probably in the 5th season. I just got bored with the characters and the medical stuff.

I also gave up on Law and Order about the time Benjamin Bratt left for a few years and then I watched it again a few seasons later pretty regularly and just watched it ocassionally in it's last five seasons or so.

I stopped watching Babylon 5 early in season 5. After the 4th season I didn't really care to see what was up next. I just lost interest. I can't remember why.

I usually watch shows until the bitter end. I even stuck with Earth Final Conflict and Andromeda even when they were beyond awful. Most of the time I just feel the need to keep watching since I've invested so much time already I might as well stick through it. But I don't like to rant on the internet how much I'm hating what I'm watching. That seems more a waste of my time then sticking with something I still somewhat enjoy.

SG-1's final seasons could be a lot better if you cut out all the NID/Trust/Lucian Alliance crap.

It was the same for me. The third season was just terrible and I think I only watched about half of it (or maybe even less than half).

Yeah I think I saw all of ANDR S2 but stopped after that. I stopped EFC very quickly into S5 as well.

"Family Guy" is really the only one. I was so excited about it coming back in 2005. By the end of season 4, I knew it was damaged beyond repair and would never be great again. So far I haven't been proven wrong. With "The Simpsons", I just so happened to move from North America to a country where I'd be too preoccupied with other things to watch any of my favourite TV shows anymore right around 1998, when the show started to suck.

I was sad about missing out on "The Simpsons", but when I got back and told my friends this, they assured me that I shouldn't feel bad about it. I remember the disgust with which one of them told me, "Yeah, you didn't miss much. Maude Flanders died". I'm on the verge of giving up on "The Office" and "The Big Bang Theory".

For me, the hardest show to give up was actually "WWF RAW". I started watching it around 1997 and watched quite consistently until about 2005. I think that was when I realized the magic was gone and pro wrestling just didn't do it for me anymore. Still, it was hard to get used to not watching a show I watched almost every week at the same time and on the same channel for almost ten years. It was hard, but I did it. I wish more "Simpsons" fans had the will to do the same so we could get that travesty off the air.

Enterprise is the only one I can recall ever voluntarily giving up on, the rest if I see the I seem to stay to the bitter end.

I say voluntarily - others I may have lost track of - I'm a bit behind on Simpsons and Futurama for example, but I fully intend to see them eventually. Trouble is in the UK if things change channels its not always easy to keep up with them as they used to be.

The thread did say "seasons" not season. There are plenty of shows I checked out a handful of times and never finished.

^ No one likes to read anymore. It's like whenever someone has a "suggest me a TV show but nothing from Whedon" thread, multiple people will respond with Buffy, Angel and Firefly.

Voyager I ditched for good about two weeks after Seven showed up.

SG-1 I ditched for good during the 9th season.

Atlantis I ditched after Sam joined the cast and added nothing to the show, so probably sometime in season 4.

Manny Coto is great and should have handled Enterprise from day one. He did a fine job with the horrible characters and situation he was handed.

Seven wasn't a bad character, but the catsuit and being the focus of the remainder of the series were beyond reason. Mugrew and Picardo can act rings around Ryan and Kes was missed, I really preferred her.

Coto did a great job with Enterprise, much better than Braga and Berman, even if he was stuck with Seven Of Vulcan.
