Aside from the Uniforms, is there anything about this that makes it a Star Trek parody as opposed to, say, a Lost In Space parody? Or is it primarily an independent comedy show with a few elements from many older space shows?

Primarily its an independent space comedy show but the story-lines reference star trek themes; such as tolerance and cultural relations. So there are similarity's but it stands on its own as well. Many people refer to it as a parody but this was not the original intention.

I've moved your primary listing to Star Trek Restricted, since the content isn't appropriate for all age groups. In the end, I'll have to make a call if it belongs on my website or not. If you intend for it to be 'far use' of the various things you reference, then it's not a fan film, it's an independent comedy. Fan films can't run commercials, can't sell DVDs, can't charge admission.

Galaxy Quest, for example, was not a fan film.

OK thanks, Yes i forgot to mention its not rated E For everyone. Maybe PG-15. There is a "Restricted" header b/f the trailer begins. And things are blurred. Just trying to get opinions from Star Trek Fans.

Well, you got great special fx and fantastic make up. It looks professional.

Thanks Dac, some of the Makeup FX was done by a guy who worked on Babylon 5. We were very lucky to get him. The Special FX were done by me. Yeah, lots of people notice the makeup is actually better then the alien makeup done in a lot of TNG episodes.
