Spoilers Loki season one discussion thread

It seems that the rings on Ravonna's table were gone, and the look Mobius gave that pen makes me think that it might have been different from what it was? There must be a reason for that close up in the other episode.

Could it be that the TVA we saw in this episode has been effected by some timeline changes or is merely an illusion?

Oops, I guess I was mistaken, I just double checked and the Marvel series do have different writers credited for the different episodes.
But I do know for a fact that Michael Hirst wrote all 89 episodes of Vikings himself, or at least is the only credited writer for every episode.

I loved this one.
We got some great character moments for the whole cast here.
They really got me with Mobius and Loki's
"deaths", and I didn't find out about the mid credits scene until hours after I watched the rest of it, so I actually thought they killed Loki. I found out about the scene later and did go back and watch it. Definitely a big surprise, and I'm very curious to see where things are going now.
I'm assuming if Loki survived that must mean Mobius is off somewhere with a bunch of his own variants.
I already thought something wonky was going on with the Time Keepers, so I was not surprised they were fake. I was actually more surprised when they appeared to be real, than by the reveal they were androids.
I think at this point it's pretty clear Ravonna knows exactly what is going on, although like someone already pointed out up thread, she's probably not the mastermind since we saw her as a hunter in the flashback.

Berman was listed as the author of every episode of Star Trek he produced, even though he wasn't allowed on set for the last year of Enterprise because he hit on Blalock and she wasn't comfortable with him around any more.

Does it seem odd to anyone that we've yet to see any real repercussion from Sylvie's bombing of the timeline two episodes ago? It hasn't even been mentioned.

I'd assumed that was just a distraction to get all the minutemen out of there. They seem to have repaired the damage: I believe I saw a screen with the timeline back to normal in this episode.

It was simply done to clear all of the Minutemen out of the TVA so Loki/Silvie could get to the Timekeepers.

Yeah, we see it back to normal. It was "wavy" rather than nearly perfectly flat because they turned up the sensitivity on it to find Loki and figured they were hiding in an apocalypse.

Planet of cosplay Loki’s it looks like. :)

Yes! Though I'd like to have seen a Crisis of Infinite Earths thing done here. Tobey Maguires' Spider Man, Chris Evans' Human Torch, etc. And having been a kid in the 70s, I would love to have seen some homage to the 70s Marvel TV Universe "variants".

Thanks for bringing that up. I thought that I had missed something and the bombs had been taken care of somehow.

I assumed they just went and pruned those timelines. I had assumed it was going to be the creation of the multiverse. However, with the TVA around to vaporize an entire universe, the multiverse can't happen. My guess is the whole thing was a distraction to kill the Time Masters.

As cool as the episode itself was ( loved the memory reveal scene betwen Sylvie and B15) i can't get the end credits scene out of my mind.

We have Richard Grant in full comicbook Loki dress, a Loki kid and a beefy guy holding what looks like a version of Mjolnir ( although by the looks of it a scrapyard version). I immediately knew that Loki couldn't be dead dead - the season still has 2 episodes to go and he is the central character- but that reveal must be something big ( hopefully).

What else is a lie though? Could be that there continues to be a multiverse. I suspect we will learn more from the other Lokis.

Holy crap. He actually looks better today then he looked in the 1970s! Love to see him, Ferrigno, Peter Hooten (Dr. Strange) and Reb Brown (Captain America) as "variants" in this or in the future.

I do like that the mutilverse idea has allowed them to toy with some of these ideas that might otherwise never manifest.

Remember Sylvie is a Loki too. The title could mean all Lokis.

But all Sylvie would have to do to get another Loki is just pluck one from anywhere in time.

Something very unclear so far is the relationship between the flow of time in the TVA and the flow of time in the universe. If they can see everything that ever happened, why haven’t they already seen all variants that were ever created? Why could there be a variant tomorrow (Relative to the TVA) that they haven’t seen today?

If TVA time flows perpendicular to universe time, somebody else must be in TVA time creating alternates.
