TOS:
*The Squire of Gothos*
Review coming soon to the TOS board.
TNG:
*The Naked Now*
Wesley...Wesley...Wesley. He first takes over the ship, then tells the trained officers how to save themselves.
Not too mention, Assistant Chief Engineer Shimoda should have been put on report. The fool allowed a civilian child to be in charge while he leaves Engineering, when common sense should have led him to actually put another trained Engineer in charge.
The way the episode plays out, certain things would have been avoided if Shimoda actually put some thinking (i.e. Wesley taking over Engineering). At least Mr. Singh, in a couple of episodes later, actually puts his foot down to monitor Wesley's time in Engineering. (Not too mention, Shimoda wasn't even under the influence of the virus, so he couldn't use that excuse...)
That's probably why we didn't see him after this episode. Good riddance.
Now, other stuff:
*Tasha acting sexy was nice.
*The redhead Ensign portrayed by Lorine Mendell was hot, and I wish she remained was a recurring character in her yellow uniform like Eddie Paskey in the original series, just as I wish Tasha's right-hand-man remained a recurring character.
*Beverly acting sexy was nice. And, it was interesting - with the second episode, no less - that there was interest in Picard.
*Geordi talks about Tasha's beauty for the first time in this episode. The second would be in 'Hide & Q.'
*I liked the the very adult joke Data overheard...which I understood when it first aired: "There was a young lady from Venus, whose body was shaped like a - "
Overall, I probably would have enjoyed the episode....but certain characters and their actions bring this episode down: ACE Shimoda and 'Acting Ensign/Acting Captain' Wesley.
