List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

At this moment, watching "Elaan of Troyius" on MeTV.

^^ I've gotten into watching the Saturday night MeTV lineup as well. Don't get me started on about "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". I dearly loved that show as a kid in the 70's, as well as Star Trek. But now that I'm older (much older) and smarter that show has become totally cringeworthy for me. Last night's episode was especially terrible. The scriptwriter must have been drinking while writing. Or on LSD.

The Empath (TOS) and way to go MeTV...cutting a scene off mid way for a commercial.
I agree with you both. I get as anxious for TOS on MeTV Saturday nights, as when I was a teenager. Personally, I didn't notice the cut-off because "The Empath" was always a boring episode, IMHO.

Now that my brother gave me a Blu-ray player for Christmas, I guess I'll have to invest in TOS-R on Blu-ray next. (I already have it on DVD.)

Elaan of Troyus as well.
Can someone please explain how a starship can PIVOT at Warp 2?

Always thought that Francis Nguyen looked pretty nice with the all-over fake tan.

Watched TNG "The Naked Now" Season 1 Episode 3 and then since it referenced it, going to watch TOS Season 1 Episode 4.

Body and Soul - Voyager

I had no memory of this episode. When it first started I thought it was going to be Flesh & Blood. It gets some humor points for the Doctor's behavior controlling Seven, and Jeri Ryan must have had a blast imitating Picardo.

I dunno. The idea of 'Photonics' constituting another race comes off as a little silly to me, and every single debate on whether artificial AI has rights comes off as a rehash of Measure of a Man. If Picardo didn't do such a great job as the Doctor, it would have been a terrible character. The episode does work as a good character humor episode.

And now that I actually am watching Flesh and Blood.

This episode has an insane amount of consistency errors that I didn't even notice the first time around because at the time I hadn't seen a Hirogen episode in three years.

First of all, if you want to re-use aliens, don't give the ship 10,000 ly jumps. And if you do, there's absolutely no excuse for any alien type you've seen, except the Borg, to appear again. (Or, at least write super-engines into your script if you do to justify it).

Second, whoever wrote this episode thinks Hirogen are pretty much Klingons with a very particular vocabulary. When Janeway said "It isn't like the Hirogen to play possum, no way it's a trap", I laughed out loud. Isn't that exactly what they did in Hunters to capture Tuvok and Seven?

But, if you ignore those consistency problems, it's a good episode along the 'AI rights' theme.

Bought DS9 Season 7 yesterday, as I missed most of its war arc episodes. Just finished "The Siege of AR-558".

Star Trek's answer to all those Hollywood WW2 John Wayne movies, despite a clunky title. Good performances all around, an exciting battle by the stunt crew, and a strong anti-war message. Director Winrich Kolbe's Vietnam-era experience no doubt brought depth to presentation.

Mine was Voyager. Season 3, Q and Grey I think it was called. I am moving my way through the series, loving it so far.
