TOS: A Taste of Armageddon, streamed on Netflix.
An old favorite, and one of my go-to episodes. When you're feeling blue and the chips are down, sometimes you just need to hear Scotty threaten to photon-torpedo an entire planet back to the stone age.

Aquiel (TNG). Not seen this episode in ages and never used to enjoy it. Enjoyed it so much more this time around. But I think they kind of spoil the twist by
Q-Less (DS9). Q-Less starts out so well and the scene with Sisko hitting Q is priceless, however the rest of the episode goes downhill fast.
focussing on the dog in LaForge's quarters at the end. It's almost like they're saying, 'LOOK AT THE DOG!'

Just watched a few Voyager, DS9, and TNG episodes in succession.
I think the last one I watched was that TNG episode with those nesting alternate dimensional creatures and the acclerating time.
I also watched DS9's Hard Time, Voyager's body and soul, and the DS9 episode where the female changeling impersonates Kira to find out Odo's motivations.
It's kind of a blur-in July I watched Voyager's sacred ground at least four times, watched DS9's Emissary, Voyager Counterpoint, and a few others.

If I was Kira, I would have taken advantage of the first opportunity and slit Dukat's throat.

Which would have probably not had the best consequences given Dukat's position at the time.I can't imagine the Bajoran cultists would have appreciated that and they may have killed or otherwise harmed Kira in retaliation.
Or maybe not perhaps it would have averted some suffering, or perhaps it was necessary for the final struggle between the Pah-Wraiths and the prophets that he live. But that's the dilemma of determinism.
I just finished watching Voyager Hope and Fear.
This was a good episode and the development of Seven's character and her relationship with Janeway proceeded apace. What did stretch disbelief a little was how effectively Voyager was fooled by Arcturis. This has one of two explanations or both-either Arcturis was that good and his people were that advanced or Voyager's crew was exceptionally desperate for shortcuts home and would accept any life line or "cheat sheet" no matter how hard their instincts told them otherwise.
TOS: Balance of Terror, streamed on Netflix.
Simply one of the best, period.
Stiles always takes a lot of heat for his bigoted attitude toward Spock in this episode, but otherwise he really was an excellent officer. He correctly identified the Romulans as being responsible for the outpost attacks, and was right about their ship having the bird-of-prey painted on the hull. His recommendation to fight the Romulans before they could return home, and to violate the neutral zone if necessary to do so, was correct. When the forward phaser room was short on staff, he volunteered to assist Tomlinson, and stayed at his post despite the coolant leak, still trying to fire the phasers even as he was passing out from the poisonous fumes. He never cracked or panicked under fire like Dave Bailey did. If I were Kirk, I would have given him a medal.
Then there is this simple, beautiful exchange, showing the camraderie and mutual respect that can exist between two enemies:
KIRK: Captain. Standing by to beam your survivors aboard our ship. Prepare to abandon your vessel.
COMMANDER: No. No, that is not our way. I regret that we meet in this way. You and I are of a kind. In a different reality, I could have called you friend.
KIRK: What purpose will it serve to die?
COMMANDER: We are creatures of duty, Captain. I have lived my life by it. Just one more duty to perform.
Simply one of the best, period.

Watched DS9 Accession, Voyager Bride of Chaotica and Enteprise Regeneration in succession this evening.
Accession is interesting for a few reasons it tells us a lot about Bajoran society both how it was in centuries past and how it changed. It tells us just how devoted the Bajorans are religiously "that they would do anything for the emissary." This is fascinating and disturbing in its implications. The B-Plot is O'brien still trying to keep a friendship and life outside of family is relateable but cliche. However Keiko obviously doesn't want him to feel tied down and so encourages him to remain friends with Julian. It shows Sisko embracing the role of emissary though not as devotedly as he would later where the Prophet and Pah Wraith fight it out on the promenade(or was it Ops?). Here he embraces it because he sees that going back to the D'Jarras is a bad thing and I think because he doesn't want to lose Kira. It's also interesting how the prophets react them both confused yet obviously knowing more than is said. What is disturbing is when they say "The D'Jarras are in the past" implying at least one point they were something the prophets dictated. This is frightening because what if say child sacrifice had been something they commanded at one point in the past? And what if that were brought back even temporarily? It leads the viewer to question the prophets morality and inherent "goodness". Though they were merciful with Laan despite at least one of them saying they should kill him.
Voyager's Bride of Chaotica is very much fun-silly but fun. It is an obvious homage to a bygone era in science fiction Flash Gordon and red Mercury and so on. 1930s pulp stuff boys read and were embarrassed to admit. Which shows somewhat as Paris is somewhat embarrassed explaining it to them(like a nerd trying to explain nerd concepts to people who'd think he's weird for it and he fears that reaction). All the main actors in this one get to shine(it focuses on Paris, Janeway, and arguably Harry Kim, with roles for the doctor and Tuvok). The anomaly of the week is interesting. Also the guess actor for Chaotica was very good at hamming up the pulp. The episode both celebrates this old fashioned sci fi while lampooning it as well.
Enterprise's regeneration is understandably controversial. It does retcon things a bit with the Borg(though they were conscious of this). I like the music and atmosphere and the logical tie in to First Contact. Some people hate it but to me it's a good last use of the Borg on Trek TV. Phlox holding the nanoprobes in himself may be nerfing the Borg to some-I'd explain this as a consequence of Denobulan physiology and in any case he was very nearly assimilated.

Loved Kirk's refusal to Commodore Stone to 'roll over and play dead' for the good of the service.
Reminds me of my last few years working under Regal Entertainment Group in management.
They constantly preach "Everyone must follow the rules and discipline will be handed out fairly and impartially." But when something actually happens, they don't really believe in that. If there's a major complaint, as with me, against someone in management, They just suspend you out of existence. And then claim that you just quit on your own accord.
