STAR TREK: The Next Generation
"Unification" Parts One and Two
Leonard Nimoy as Spock and Mark Lenard as Sarek in the same TNG two-parter. This should be so much better than what we got. The production values are very cheap, throughout and there's a lot of padding. I love Denise Crosby, especially as she was during TNG's run - so beautiful. But I really did not care for her as Sela in this story. It didn't matter that it was Tasha Yar's daughter being the Romulan, it could've been some nobody ... there was nothing special about her contribution here, whatsoever. Sarek is my favourite Vulcan ... ever! ... and to have him trodded out to prove he has Alzheimer's was really unnecessary and actually, kind of crass. Fortunately, it was brief, but what he added to the story wasn't really worth the humiliation. I want to love this story and really get into it, but it's just so aweful ...
