TNG - "Manhunt"

Mick Fleetwood is one of the Antideans...I knew I recognized him from somewhere!

Otherwise, this episode blows.

TOS "The City on the Edge of Forever"

Everything that could be said about this episode has already been said, is being said, and will one day be said, so I won't bother.

ENT: Carpenter Street, Chosen Realm, and Proving Ground, streamed on Netflix.

The Xindi arc continues..

Carpenter Street: bleh...been there, done that, enough already. I did enjoy Archer's gizmo that coaxed the ATM into spitting out cash and unlocked car doors, what a useful thing to have if you were a professional criminal.

Chosen Realm: another backhanded slap at organized religion. I can't believe that something as important as the Xindi database wasn't backed up to a thumb drive or a DVD data disc someplace on the ship, a basic 20th century data security practice.

Proving Ground: Another good Shran episode. I always liked how Enterprise made an effort to flesh out the Andorians, something that TOS should have done, but didn't.

Shades of Grey. - TNG

This was one of those awful 80s/90s band-aid shows where they just slapped together various footage from the rest of the season and add about 3 minutes of new stuff to make it seem like a new episode. I guess it cuts down on production costs...

How's that for coincidence; I just watched it the other day as part of my re-watch of TNG Season 2.

What a way to end the season! :klingon:

A flashback episode would make more sense if it was much further along in the series, and the flashbacks were in some kind of order to show the development of a character. But at this point, there were only two seasons. And the flashbacks were vaguely grouped in a "thematic" way, like "Riker is having too many happy memories and the virus is growing... he needs to feel agitated so the virus will die!"
And I think some of the flashback scenes appeared more than once. :klingon:

Yes, it wasn't even a good flashback episode. It was awfully disjointed and the dream sequence just seemed like a filler between the scenes where Troi and Dr Pulaski were talking. People discuss how awful the first season of TNG was, but that was actually the worst episode of the series. OK, I'll get off of it now. I'm done beating up on it.
