TOS: The Way to Eden

Mad scientist L. Ron Sevrin invents a religion, surrounding himself with easily manipulated young followers half his age. Among them are a politician's son, a goofy guitarist, and three hot chicks who keep his bed warm.

ENT: Carbon Creek, streamed on Netflix.

This was a fun episode. Did the Vulcans just leave their crashed survey ship in the Pennsylvania woods for someone to find? One would assume not, since the discovery of a genuine alien spacecraft in the late 1950's would have certainly contaminated Human culture and technological development a lot more than the "invention" of Velcro. Of course, we don't know one way or the other, since the ultimate fate of the ship isn't shown onscreen.

Lots of callbacks to COTEOF, and I Love Lucy, which was a Desilu production...

TOS-r: Patterns of Force

When Isak shoots Melakon, watch Spock, McCoy and the extras. Nimoy does a very un-Vulcanlike flinch as the gun goes off, and a few others react to the noise as well, then there's a quick cut to Skip's death scene. Must have been a big powder charge.

It happened in North By North-west before the gun goes off you can see one of the kids in the background cover his ears. They let it be since back then people usually didn't own a VCR and you need to watch that scene expectantly to see that.

But once you know about it, you can't not see it. :)

Redemption pt.1

- It still baffles me at how Worf was unable to take out 2 Brids of Prey when they were coming in to board the Bortas. He fired one blast from the disruptors and takes what seems like 15 seconds to attempt another shot. Must have been those damned Kellicams that confused him.
