Some of the "foreshadowing" they put in ENT was just painful.

I'd guess it's on par with what a lot of TV series set in our past say about the future. "Murdoch Mysteries" is a classic example. There are so many shout-outs to today's issues and tech that it's kind of annoying after a while.
