The lab they went to was on an M-class moon. But it's atmosphere is over 5000 kilometers thick?
Plus if they were working on something really that dangerous. There wouldn't be any survivors after the explosion. Omega is supposed to make a thermonuclear explosion look like a Snap'n Pop.
I think that "Voyager" was in dire need of a script proofreader.

Just watched it and it continues to rank amongst my most favourite TNG episodes. A freighter captain's ship had collided with an asteroid. In escape pods, he and his crew discover Angel One - a Planet of Women. They like it and don't want to go, when it's leader, the beautiful Mistress Beata, decides they've outstayed their welcome. A few years later, the Enterprise-D finds itself in the area and investigates ...
