This is where Enterprise finally kicked into high gear: an unkinder, ungentler Archer, Enterprise gets photon(ic) torpedoes and Marines, T'Pol becomes a civilian and gets a new uniform and a better hairstyle, the series is rechristened Star Trek: Enterprise and the opening theme gets jazzed up a little...it was a glorious time.

By the end tag scene, where it's apparently a day or so later when a message is received that the recovered Van Gelder has destroyed the neural neutralizer, we don't really know what happened to Helen Noel after the mission. Perhaps she temporarily stays at Tantalus to help Van Gelder get things back in order.

I had watched the remastered version of the Menagerie and at one point the Yeomen working for Commodore Mendez mentions knowing a Lt. Helen Johansen to which Kirk says
"Helen...described.."
"She merely mentioned she knew you."

somehow I always got the feeling they meant Helen Noel but that they got the last name mixed up.


as for me my last episode was TNG A fistful of Datas:

a prostitute whistles and shows some leg from the second floor of one of the nearby buildings.....

True enough. I have to admit though that didn't even occur to me. not only am I reading that book, but I'm also in a daily re-watch of m TOS DVD's, and that episode just happens to be next in line.
