In the Voyager episode "Dark Frontier," Janeway comes up with a plan to steal a transwarp coil from an active (as opposed to damaged or deactivated) Borg cube, and everyone in the briefing room treats it like a perfectly normal proposal. I was really waiting for someone, anyone, to point out that this was insanely dangerous, but no one ever did.
In one of the early Enterprise: Rise of the Federation novels, an Andorian official booms from the bridge view screen is about to say "pink skin" but stumbles when he addresses Commander Mayweather.Did Mayweather ever point out to Shran that 'pink skins' was not only racist, but incorrect?
Yeah that was similar. Not quite as bad in my opinion, since I imagine that the planet, human as it was, probably had a rather alien culture to many of the crew members of Voyager and was rather isolated. Though it wouldn't have hurt to show like a dozen people or so staying behind.Don't remember that episode clearly (except that Sisko had to sit in a metal box), but I had that same experience with Voyager's the 37's, that no one opted to stay on that planet. And also, that it's about the only time I remember that Janeway actually offers that choice.
Did Mayweather ever point out to Shran that 'pink skins' was not only racist, but incorrect?
The only difference between the smaller ships of the defense perimeter and the larger ships at Wolf359 is the larger ships left wreckage.Earth's solar system defenses (the Mars Perimeter) being so utterly puny
Whene given the oppertunity to kill the child of Duras, it would have been a more Klingon move if Worf had killed him. It would have made a statement that Worf down inside was a Klingon, and fundamentially different than his fellow Starfleet officers. In TNG: the Enemy, I expected Worf to give in and "do the right thing" by donating blood to the wounded Romulan. Refreshingly, he remained Klingon and didn't.
Or he could have channeled Karl Urban in the movie Dredd.Bonus points if the cop replied "I'm the goddamn Robocop!"
If Andorian eyes see in different frequences (maybe infrared?), all Humans might have pink skin. Vulcans with their higher body temp could all have red skin.Did Mayweather ever point out to Shran that 'pink skins' was not only racist, but incorrect?
I expected Tom Riker and Nella Daren to die. I expected Sito to live.
And in "Scorpion" when Janeway is talking to the DaVinci hologram about making a deal with the Devil, a reaction shot from John Rhys-Davis would have been nice.
I thought that would have been the perfect way to end the first season finale. Archer and Daniels looking out at the ruins of Earth with Daniels saying "this is the 31st century Captain, but it's gone. Everything's gone." Archer then responds "oh boy."The one line we all secretly wanted Scott Bakula to say on Enterprise...
"Oh boy."
Khan explains it in the brig:^ I can't be the only one curious as to what, specifically, about the 2233 timeline divergence made it so that Section 31 (as opposed to the Enterprise) would be the first to stumble across the Botany Bay...
