Spoilers Limitless - TV Series

Loved the Ferris Bueller framework; very clever, though odd in juxtaposition to the all the killing going on in this episode.

I loved it when Jennifer Carpenter showed up wearing the same outfit Mia Sara wore in the movie. "Not happy with having to wear this outfit!"

I'm glad we're all old enough to know who Ferris Bueller is and caught the reference straight away. I wonder if any teens who watched the episode got it?

This show is on CBS. I don't think teens watch.

And what the hell was with that bus at the end?

It was a faithful recreation of nearly the end of the movie Ferris Bueller's Day off when the School Bus picked up Principle Rooney after he got his ass handed to him by Ferris.

Right, but it totally did not make sense in the context of the show last night.

Hey, just had a fun idea. They should get Alan Tudyk on the show. With his similar looks they could have him play a con man that starts impersonating Brian and selling out his services.

And this is the guy who will be producing the next Star Trek.

Well, executive-producing. Alex Kurtzman, like J.J. Abrams before him, seems to have gotten to the point where his production company is developing shows that are run by other people, because he's too busy to run them himself. The showrunner for Limitless is Craig Sweeny (whose prior credits include The 4400, Medium, and Elementary), and the showrunner for Trek 2017 will be... someone who hasn't been picked yet.

This was the first time Doyle, Rebecca and Brian felt like a team and it felt good too. And I liked how Brian was able to work though Sands this time and really take control of a meeting with him. But I have to wonder how when Rebecca will bring up Brian's extra NZT pills.

"One of the first things I did after realizing how powerful NZT is was to stash some as a rainy day fund"

Well his stash came from Eddie and Rebecca knws that he had extra pills, she's going to press the matter at some point. I wonder what kind of lie he'll use to get out of trouble, unless he tells her the truth.

Tell her he broke off a bit in his mouth and saved the pieces up. Reducing his daily NZT hours by a little bit, but allowing him to have enuf pieces every couple weeks to then palm a complete pill for saving.

He showed her the pills.

I find the marketing off, that all the pills all look aesthetically the same considering that they are highly illegal.

We know of at least three sources.

Unless there's profit in homogeneity?

I'm watched through and caught-up. The Ferris Beuler episode was a hoot! (Well, other than Brian manipulating the mercenaries into killing one another.)

I had similar thoughts on the bus driver picking up the Russian spy (or whatever) but this show sort-of plays fast-and-loose with its "reality" as far as what's "really happening" and what's part of Brian's mind. The bus thing could have simply been Brian's imagination of what became of the Russian and keeping with is FBDO shtick.

Still not entirely sure what to make of Eddie, when he returns to give Brian the booster-shot of the "side effects vaccine" he seems more genuine and "on the side of good" than let-on but things still seem shifty. Sort-of liked the notion of Eddie testing Brian to see if he's a lap-dog or really willing to do "what is right."

Find the series nice and fun.

As far as Rebecca knows Brian gets one pill every day he works from Mike and Ike, he should have no means of making a "stash" since M&I watch Brian take the pill and they're his only supplier. I suspect Brian will find someway to tell her how he got other pills, but I don't think he'll reveal the truth about Eddie just yet. Probably just that he had some from when he initially went on them before joining the FBI.
