"Leah" mentioned by Geordi in 'All Good Things...'

You know, I've seen the finale at least three or four times but I never picked up on his mention of Leah until I watched it a couple of days ago. I actually think it's kind of cool that they decided to write it that way. Am I the only one who missed this reference?

Does seem a bit funny; did Geordie persue her 'til she left her husband? Did they have an affair? Did her husband leave her, she felt down and thought who's the only other bloke who had any interest and has zero chance of being attached....I know Geordie!

Yeah, that bit of fanwank was anything but subtle.

I say Geordi, being the gentleman, wouldn't pursue her until the husband was out of the picture. Divorced, died, fell in a warp core...etc...

I assumed Geordi murdered Leah's husband, and Riker murdered Troi. I just think it adds a much needed darkness to the episode.

Okay, not really.

No no, Ryker murdered Mr. Brahms, and Geordi murdered Troi. The ol' "Strangers on a Starship" motif!

Noncanonly of course Leah's husband was killed in an experiment in the Genesis Series of novels.

Noncanon of course.

Actually, I suppose it could have been a different Leah...

This is Geordi we're talking about. He's not that lucky with women.

Perhaps he managed to clone her, and make his own Leah Brahms action figure.

I guess I'm not much of a "gentleman" then. Considering I'm currently "pursuing" a "taken" woman...

But, to keep on topic, YES, you are one of the few folks that missed that reference...

Man - I really hung myself out to dry on this one, didn't I?

[thinks to himself: should have asked a different question like "Are you happy that Geordi and Leah finally got together?"]

I think one of the TNG Companions stated it was originally supposed to be Aquiel (from the episode of the same name) but somebody figured out that nobody would care about her that much and they switched it to Leah Brahms.

A wise and logical decision.

Yep, I admit it - it was me. He was starting to piss me the hell off

That would have made Nemesis absolute perfection. A reminder of that episode.
