Anyway, Picard, Sulu, Martok, Shran, OldPike.
Kirk has a nasty tendency to lose crewmembers all the time, Janeway is insane, Jellico is a blowhard and I'm sure not following a fanatic like Sisko or Kira anywhere.

Yeah, I agree with all of this.

If I had to choose one, I'd choose Picard.

It's not a rank thing... I'm not that far ahead of you and I've always had the ability to delete posts. That's odd, I'm not sure why some users would have it and others wouldn't. This might be a good question for the mod board.

While I would hope and want to choose to serve under Picard...

I would follow the orders from any Captain as it would be my duty. Unless of course it was a situation where my orders went against the prime directive or something like that and it became my duty not to follow those orders... ah you know what I mean!

How many non-main characters have we ever seen in Trek who are actually good leaders and not either native idiots or corrupt in some way? Martok and that's pretty much it.
