Yes indeed! But did you look a little higher? Spoiler: No Win Scenario Therin and Grol with Jack Crusher Jr by Ian McLean, on Flickr Therin actually appears twice, and in the top pic with Grol of Tellar, in my first ever attempt at Photoshop when I first started dabbling with it and realised both cosplay pics had been taken, several months apart, in front of the same wall! Me as Therin meeting me as Grol by Ian McLean, on Flickr Therin was framed by Ian McLean, on Flickr And a cardboard phaser from the "Star Trek Action Toy Book" by James Razzi is now also canon...
Or to put it more bluntly, Whose do you have to in order to get on Star Trek nowadays? Because I might. Just sayin'
There was a call for cosplay pics on Twitter towards the end of Season One, but we weren't allowed to know how the pics might get used. Non-Disclosure Agreements and waivers. A rumour broke out before Season Two premiered about "pics on a noticeboard", but we didn't know what it meant until the "Entertainment Tonight" photoshoots promoting Season Two. I only just found out about this one (below) from the finale of Season Two, "Farewell", when we were all so busy looking at the photo of Rios! (Thanks for spotting, Aaron Harvey!) Sorry for missing that! Looks like that was back in mid-January. I don't remember now if I just missed that entirely at the time, or if I saw it, but assumed it was one of your custom creations. Me too, TBH.
A friend suggested the episode should become a drinking game, but you've have to insist on using synthehol. I really need to send a thank you note to Director Jonathan Frakes. Last season, I briefly corresponded with Production Designer, Dave Blass (the instigator of the cosplay pics request), when I was content with being a blurry blob behind Picard, but it really was rather crazy this week to be in focus, and so often!
For me, it was more of a gradual dawning. "Hold on, that photo looks familiar." "Okay, I know I've seen it before, but where?" "Waitaminnit, is that Therin?" "I'm pretty sure that's Therin." Followed by a Google search afterward to confirm it. I've pretty much outsourced my long-term memory to the Internet these days.
