You've said that B4.

what about Jadzia in "The Visitor"?
what about Jadzia in "The Visitor"?
I've sometimes wondered about that. "The Visitor" seemed to show a Federation largely at peace; this, despite the absence of Sisko from that timeline. If one wanted to be all anal-retentive about it, it would suggest that, in the long run, Sisko was not vital to the survival of the Federation, either in terms of getting the Prophets to help during the Dominion War, or his role in getting the Romulans to join in the war effort.
Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman
I'd like to propose that in order for the books to stay true to the TV series then Janeway is really not dead. Yes...you heard me right. Now someone will say of course she is because she was killed in Before Dishonor and that is essentially what this whole debate has been about right? I know she appears to be dead in the books, and Pocket has even said they do not have plans to bring her back any time soon, but if she forever and truly remains dead she could not have appeared on the TV show as the much older future Admiral Janeway in the episode Endgame. So for all you Janeway fans who are concerned that Janeway is gone for good do not despair. Somehow Pocket will have to bring her back to fulfill one of her future missions.

I thought it was implied that the Klingons were the major threat sans Sisko. To the point that the Federation seemed to have ceded a lot of space, including the wormhole to them.
Huh! When did that happen? And what about Bajor and Deep Space Nine?I thought it was implied that the Klingons were the major threat sans Sisko. To the point that the Federation seemed to have ceded a lot of space, including the wormhole to them.
Do I have to start re-editing my scanned Star Charts?![]()

I hope that you are right here.

I had more than enough to make new Voyager maps since the original ones had so many errors.

It as in an alternate future episode where Sisko got zapped by some technobabble which was worthy of Voyager and we saw into that future. In it, just after a year after Sisko's "death" Starfleet pulled out of the B'hava'el system and the Klingons moved in and Quark got his moon.
Here it is - The Visitor: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/The_Visitor_(episode)
I've never really given it much thought to be honest, but I would have assumed that the Klingons would have done something so that the Wormhole would un transversable and thus keeping the Dominion out of the AQ.

Oh, I thought it was in some recent book.
I have to admit that I haven't watched all episodes of DS9, due to stupid policy of the station in my country which only aired season 1. After that, I've only been able to watch occasional episodes on borrowed tapes. I guess I have to buy DS9 on DVD.
