Last movie you saw?

X-Men Days of Future Past

The bit in cerebro, where all the dials explode. Why would a dial explode? It happens a lot in movies.

I just watched "The Life of Brian" for the first time. Brilliant Film and also my first real exposure to Monty Phython except for a few scenes here and there. Now I think I fully get the love of them! Granted as a American and also someone not living in the 1970's their was a few British or dated things that I don't think I got but still I loved it.

Mowgli, the Netflix eclusive Andy Serkis directed Jungle Book movie. Now, I really liked both the Disney animated and their recent live-action version, but loved this one more. I hear it's closer to the original story, and while the first half is similar to the Disney movie minus the musical numbers, this one feels like it has more to offer. It's darker than the Disney version, and this you can tell right off the bat by the voice acting, like in Cumberbatch's Skir-Kahn, who is much more menacing in his depiction. Even while darker, I feel this is a more nuanced take on the story, taking a different direction than Disney's version and showing a bit more than just the forest, especially when it comes to the second half. The motion-capture is a bit iffy at times, and I don't feel it completely worked, as some of the animation feels awkward, but at times really good. A bit uneven. Overall, I feel this is definitely one of Netflix's best movies.

At the cinema? Avengers: Infinity War.

I was fortunate to walk by a couple of filming locations in Edinburgh, Scotland. Didn't see much apart from a mocked up coffee stand/green screen set at the railway station and a destroyed shop front. It was fun to finally make sense of that stuff.

Christopher Robin

Exceptional movie. Probably tugs at the heartstrings more than The Lion King, as far as Disney movies go.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. (GOOD DAY, SIR!!)

What's your favorite Johnny Deep scene in that movie?:)

Me I re-watched "Orange County" again. I always like this movie. For some reasons though I always think it's not as good as it is everytime I watch. Something about it makes me want to always downgrade it for some reason. Maybe its because the shell of the movie is that of a dumb teen comedy and while it has that element it's also a fun character story and one that celebrates writing. Plus it's got a bunch of great actors and a then newcomer in Collin Hanks. I also like how the parents were made fun of but not in a mean spirited way where the kid is always proven right and the adults look stupid and like they don't know anything despite their years of experience in the world.

I’m watching Skyfall on TV right now. It’s not a favourite but I’m watching it anyway. One of my roomies has fallen asleep on the other couch.

The scene where Gene Wilder was the star. I'm talking about the seventies movie. Johnny's was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I know. I was making a little joke. I do like your line "The scene where Gene Wilder was the star." Very funny.:)

Miracle on 34th Street, John Hughes version. At times questionable subtext, but Sir Richard Attenborough remains my favorite Santa Claus.

Watched "The Godfather part III" I re- watched the first two awhile back and I needed to finish the trilogy. Not as bad as it's rep but it really is to long. Way to much musical celebrations and mindless action but in a movie series were the action is very violent but also more subtle. This movie is to much about what people think the "Godfather" movies were about but never watched the first two so they are using "Godfather" cliches instead for drama.
