Last movie you saw?

Otto over on Netflix. Staring Tom Hanks and a relative small, but good supporting cast. Well worth the viewing, even though the subject matter is pretty damn dark... 8.5/10

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3. Went to an advanced screening on Thursday (since I was getting my teeth pulled on Friday, so that day was pretty much shot). Went to the 3:00 p.m. showing (which was the very first showing). Loved it! At least now I understand why Rocket is the way he is. Only stuck around to see the first post credits (or was it mid credits) scene (I'll wait to see the other one until after the Blu-ray comes out). :)

The Hunt for Red October

Bloody love this film, watch it at least once a year. Connery's excellent performance shines through his accent and while a lot of people find Baldwin's portrayal of Jack Ryan to be their least favourite, I think this film is enthralling as a submarine thriller. Book is a great read too.

Ant Man and Ant Man & The Wasp last night via Disney+. Figured a re-watch was in order before watching the new(ish) 3rd. outing this weekend. Fun little films, a bit under rated IMHO..

Is that A Man Called Otto or a something else?
I watched the animated Anastasia yesterday on Hulu. I really enjoyed it, it nice animations, some good songs, and a fantastic cast.

Yes, to clarify, I believe the full title is indeed A Man Called Otto.

And based on the swedish novel A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, which they had turned into a movie that was released in 2015. Haven't seen this new one, but quite liked that one.

The Super Mario Brothers movie. It was fun! Lumalee is my favorite character.

Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania. It was okay, I thought it had some good ideas but it didn't gel for me as a whole

I started to watch Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves on Paramount+/Showtime the other day but turned it off after about 40 minutes and switched to The Fablemans instead. Beautiful cinematography by Janusz Kaminski and a sensitive score by John Williams, and a great (if all-too-brief) supporting turn by Judd Hirsch.

"Shadow in the Cloud" over on Hulu. Pretty decent, I think it only had 6 or 7 people in the whole cast. Interesting horror/thriller/action piece set in the waning days of WW2 in the Pacific on a B-17. Ending was a little too much (well into Mary Sue territory), but an interesting way to make a movie.. I'd say 7.5/10

The last three movies I've seen in the last week are: Guardians 3, Across the Spiderverse, and last night I started a rewatch of the Mission Impossible movies to get ready for Dead Reckoning. All three were enjoyable, even though Spiderverse might already be a little overrated.
