well.... I love my men to be intelligent and have some intellectual qualities, too. Hence (big surprise, I know!) I picked Tuvie. He *is* the logical choice, after all, right? ;)

Except he's married otherwise he would be MY Tuvie. ;)

Neelix not so much - but Ethan Philips deserves one. He's quote versatile!

You're not kidding! I just realized I'd never seen him without Neelix makeup on, so I did a Google image search ... I had no idea he'd also played a Ferengi! It must have been fun for him to get to play two totally different characters in the same franchise.

Just bumping this thread up a bit. It seems a bit unfair somehow that the guys only had four choices yet their thread is getting longer and longer and is discussing the various merits of who looks great with wrinkles etc etc. How come does it always happen that way round?

So... to even things out..... I think Robert Duncan McNeill has aged magnificently. What's the word? Distinguished I think  Lucky B'Elanna if that's what Tom would look like after a decade or so!

I tried to google image search Tarik Ergin (Ayala) for an up to date pic without much success - anyone got a link?

According to imdb, Tarik has not been in any TV shows or movies since Voyager days. If he can be found anywhere, my guess would be Facebook.

You know..and this is just an observation, but Chakotay is being voted the person who we all would marry the most and yet he's the most criticized in the Voyager forum for being a "plank of wood" or how most people call him. Frankly I find it..ironic.

Being a "plank of wood" isn't all that bad in a partner, hell it's down right a compliment in one respect!

I'm gonna say, IMO, that maybe the women feel just a wee bit different about old Chuckles than the guys.

I see Chuckles as the guy I'd what to see across the breakfast table after 30 or 40 odd years. I can't say that I'd feel the same for Tom, Riker, Worf, Picard, etc. etc. - even though they are all fine men there is just something missing. Sure Riker and Tom are married but it took Riker YEARS to figure it out and Tom's still too new at it to see if he has staying power.

I certainly couldn't see Kirk sharing a life with someone, can't see him doing the HoneyDo thing at all. Hell I can't even see him sharing the bathroom mirror without setting phasers on stun so he can be first.

I feel the same way about Spock, although I'd give it my best shot at changing his mind. They are men who are more comfortable "out there", you aren't ever going to change them and I think in most of these guys cases their shipmates and the fleet would always be first.

They may think they want home and hearth but I don't think they'll ever be happen without the thrill of the unknown. Even though Spock woudn't admit to such an emotion.

I love Spock, always have always will, maybe something to do with that whole forbidden fruit thing, however I think he'd need to find a "girl just like the girl who married dear old dad" and most women just wouldn't fit the bill.

I got no problem being known as Mrs. Wood when I can wake up next to Mr. Wood, you'll know me by the smile on my face.

Yeah, me neither. I didn't realize that it might have been mostly guys complaining about Chakotay than women do. I just found him VERY HOT in Voyager and loved his spirituality as well as his presense on the bridge at times. And he was a great leader when Janeway was on away missions. He also was an angry man at the beginning..I wouldn't mind him pushing me up against a bulkhead once in a while!

I've never been able to find Chakotay's personality attractive.

Paris or Kim for me, definitely.

Harry Kim. Soooo easy on the eyes. Nuff said!

I always secretly wish Neelix would fall into one of his vats of boiling oil. What an annoying character!

Tuvok: i would need more emotionally from a man.

The Doctor had some very endearing qualities.

Paris, i liked him better as the bad boy. Once he settled into life as a good guy in starfleet, i thought he lost alot of his charm.

And i could never see the attraction some people had for Robert Beltran/Chakotay.

OMG- what a wonderful idea- sitting next to Chakotay every morning to have breakfast and to look at his beautiful face with the dimples... and his smile...

@trekgirl You should meet him (Robert Beltran) in person!
Look there

Mareika, thanks for the picture. I looked. i tried. i really did!
To each his or her own, which is a good thing, right?

Tarik had a part in a Red Shoes Diaries episode.

Very soft porn series that David Duchovney (?) narrated.

And yes I am on the hunt for that episode but with my luck he'll be all covered up yet again!

As to Chuckles, one has to separate the actor from the character at times. Beltran, IMO, was probably one of the best looking men in Trek besides that guy from TNG show, the space pirate name O'Rourke, I believe that was his name. I have a thing for dimples and dark hair, not a fan of blondes so there ya go. Well accept for Eric on True Blood, he's rather interesting.

Beltran is nice, very nice, very easy on the eyes and he gave a face to Chuckles that I certainly like looking at. From the first screen shot I sat up and took notice and went "Well hell there Boyo!"

But I also like the descriptions of Chuckles in the books and I can wrap my mines eye around a totally different look. I like the picture of Chuckles on the cover of the Voyager book Double Helix series. There's something about the picture, an edgier Chuckles. Plus I also prefer chuckles without the shellacked Elvis hair.

I was told the model was a neighbor of the artist so I'm also hunting him down!

Ok and right, but this was my respons to your comment:

" And i could never see the attraction some people had for Robert Beltran/Chakotay. "

Tough decision. I'd say Chakotay or Tom, but I suppose my choice would depend on my mood at the time. Tom is always good for a good laugh, but Chakotay has such a nice shoulder to cry on. I'd have a hell of a lot more fun with Tom, but with Chakotay I'd feel safe and loved. A mix of the two would be my choice. :)

Tom Paris. Rebellious = hot. There used to be a news reader on Five News who looked just like him. I knew a lot about current affairs while that guy was on TV.

I came in to vote for Chakotay..watched the show for all seven seasons and enjoyed watching him each time. Robert Beltran is one fine looking man, and even now with his hair longer and grayer, he's still good looking.
