Klingon Christmas Carol Play

Greetings! My name is Jen Usellis and I am a company member with Commedia Beauregard, the theatre company that produces "A Klingon Christmas Carol". I am also an actress in the show.

I wanted to address Saxman1's question regarding the family friendliness of the show.

A Klingon Christmas Carol is absolutely family friendly. However, it's good to note that this show is almost entirely in Klingon with English supertitles. If you have very young children who cannot read or cannot read at a speaking pace, they will most likely not enjoy the show.

Also, to Neutral Zone's lament of televised/DVD copies.
Commedia Beauregard is a registered non-profit theatre company specializing in translated works. We have heard the pleas over the last 5 years for a DVD copy and are finally able to make this happen.
For a donation of $25, you can get a copy of our DVD version of the 2010 Chicago production as a Thank You gift. It is essentially a pre-order of the DVD which is set to come out at the beginning of November.

Please do not hesitate to tweet me or message me or keep this thread going with questions about the show. I will do my best to answer all your questions!

Qapla'!

A Klingon Christmas Carol opens on November 25 and runs for 6 weeks with 4 performances per week. We close on New Years Eve with a special performance ending at midnight with champagne and special musical guest, Il Troubadore.
Tickets & more info can be found on our website http://www.cbtheatre.org.

Any idea when we in the UK will be able to donate ? Will you be able to make UK coded Bluray discs ?

Any chance of a UK run of the show - maybe Christmas 2012 ? There must be a UK theatre company willing to get involved...

Relayer1 ~
We're actually a pretty small non-profit organization. However, we do have a lot of stuff in the pipeline. It's probably safe to say that crossing the pond is a ways off both in DVD/Blu-Ray and performance....but....we received amazing press last year that opened up some big doors for 2011 and 2012. Generating interest & keeping it alive is definitely the best way to turn UK dreams into a reality.

No problem! This year, our fight scenes should leave the kids begging for their own batleth. :)

Good luck !

Ps - I can play US NTSC DVDs. Might you consider posting abroad at some point ? I'd be happy to donate extra to cover postage...

Thanks so much!
Overseas shipping has already been brought up on a couple of occasions at this point but we've yet to hold serious discussions. With the show in full rehearsal mode right now & then performances, it might have to be a sit-down discussion for the new year but I don't doubt that it will happen. :)

The temporary option is to con an American pal to order it & send it to you. ;)

I fear I may have to wait - I don't currently have any personal friends in the states...
