Just heard on a commercial on FOX, the two-hour series finale airs tomorrow on FOX.

13 seasons. If only "The Simpsons" had bowed out that early.

Anybody going to watch? I am.

Two hour finale? According to my TV schedule, there's only one hour on tomorrow at 8pm, with 2 episodes.

Because heaven forbid they show something other than Family Guy and American Dad reruns...

Well, that's what the commercial said.

I watched a preview clip for "The Cleveland Show" on YouTube, since MacFalane said it was testing very positively with FOX. I should have known better. It sucked balls. And that's what's replacing KotH.

According to my tv listings it's only two episodes. I'll definitely be watching I love that show. I'll miss it!

I really hope it's a real Series finale and not just FOX burning off the last new KOTH episodes they had in the can...after all it deserves it for 13yrs of outstanding service.:techman:

As for The Cleveland Show I'm going to give it a chance even though I've soured on Family Guy but I've started liking American Dad and maybe just maybe MacFalane will just keep sticking all his hard politics in FG and let Dad and Cleveland be more comedy led than trying to force a certain view...

Now once again I have no problem with Seth trying to promote a certain viewpoint in his shows(they all do )it's just like I've said in other posts it's just that he uses a sledge hammer to do it and so takes away from it...look at the Next Generation episode which became a real anti-Christan bash more than a fun look at the Next Gen cast making fun of themselves.

Doesn't seem that way. :(

Yea It's just burning off the last episodes and no real Series Finale..though to be fair the Luanne Wedding episode was supposed to have been the original Finale before it was surprisingly renewed..but it still isn't quite over yet apparently there are atleast 4 more episodes that might air on Adult Swim and syndication so there may be a real series finale yet.

Who knows -- maybe there is a proper finale in those final four. So far it's just two regualr disappointing episodes.

EDIT:

The last minute they tacted on this bit that was supposed to pass for something like a "finale".

I dunno, that last episode felt like a sort of finale. You had Hank talking about how he'd waited thirteen years for Bobby to join a team (in-universe it might be Bobby's age, but we know what he's really talking about), and then the ending had everyone around the picnic tables, with Hank kinda passing the torch (or, more literally, the tongs) to his son.

This show has never been overly heavy on continuity, so it's not like there are storylines that need to be wrapped up in the finale. I liked the way it was kinda just another episode, but hitting enough of the right notes to give us some closure. (Bobby's teammates were absolutely ridiculous, though, and not in a fun way.)

Two nice episodes but I was hoping for more of a end to the story. So what was up with Boomhauer's badge? Is he supposed to be a cop? Or something else? I couldn't see the badge well. Have they never shown what he does for a living?

Apparently he's a Texas Ranger and his first name is Jeff..but he must of been on leave or something for most of the series since there were times his being a Ranger would have been useful....then again he may of just used it to pick up girls.

Damn! I missed it. Well, there are ways.

BTW, which TNG ep do you mean? 'Justice' or 'Who Watches The Watchers?'

If your referring to my little Family Guy "sledge hammer"rant I was talking about the FG episode with the Next Gen cast not any episodes from their show(though there are some that might fit that description)..sorry for the confusion.:)

No prob. I remember the ep in question. TvTropes has a listing called 'anvilicious' which fits Brian's tude on the whole subject. As for TNG, I felt that the whole FG cast should have interacted with them.

Peter : Hey, Levar--do that finger pointing at the screen thing.

Burton : Peter, that was Tim Meadows in the SNL parody of the show mixed with Love Boat.

Peter : So not only was the VISOR a dodge, but you can't mix drinks?

Or maybe he works undercover and nobody knows? The badge was nothing like the Rangers' five-peso coin "wagon wheel" badge, which should be known to the show from Ranger Peyton in "High Anxiety."

The episode was OK, but the finale ending seemed kind of tacked-on. Another instance of Fox giving short shrift to King of the Hill, which it barely promoted for the last five years or so, not paying for a proper ending? The Kleinschmidts were barely in it, and good secondary characters like Buck Strickland and John Redcorn were not seen at all. They did include the Chuck Mangione gag, but was his name in the credits? If it was I missed it.

I will miss "King." It was a wonderful piece of subtle, character-driven comedy that didn't rely on throwing gags at the viewer non-stop . It was more consistent and had fewer duds than most comedies, animated or not. People I know who never watched it on Fox have started to respect it more since Adult Swim picked it up. Like much of Mike Judge's work, it will probably have a devoted cult following and may become more respected as time goes by.

I know, right?

That just makes me all sad inside.

Wasn't ABC interesting in picking up KOTH? What happened with that?
