News Khan has finished production and will come out this year

What "twists and turns" can be done with a pretty straightforward exile described in a few lines in the movie? Does Meyer have an organic take on what happened on Ceti Alpha V or was he already aware of the other adaptations and consciously doing something different? Because honestly with these "twists and turns" line I'm now half expecting something like Ceti eels having nothing to do with McGivers' death, she turned against Khan on her own and died, and Khan slipping into insanity by telling himself that eels killed Marla, or something like that.

I wonder if by "exile" he refers to Khan's first exile, from Earth on the Botany Bay? If so there might be Eugenics Wars flashbacks.
I doubt it, mainly because Mack already insisted that the Eugenics war timeframe was left vague to accomodate SNW. That limits how detailed they can be.
I sincerely doubt Meyer knew of any Star Trek novels whatsoever.

Yeah, probably. I mean Mack is quoted as saying
“No, it is not based on Greg’s novels. Nicholas Meyer had a completely different take on the story of Khan’s exile, and Kirsten and I were tasked with developing the series from the core elements of Nick’s story.”
Seem they're going with what Meyer came up with, the other versions may not factor in at all.
Well, yeah, there's two novel authors working on the script of this. Doesn't change the fact that Nick Meyer himself likely knows nothing of those novels, or probably any Trek novels.
A production revolving around Khan Singh and they still won't make it about the goddamn Eugenics Wars. Just another generic prequel.
Huh? It's about Khan's life on Ceti Alpha by the guy who directed TWOK. What's "generic" about that?
I don't know if there's a "generic" period in Khan's life. His childhood at the Noonien-Singh Institute, his rule in the Eugenics Wars, his exile on the Botany Bay, his second exile to Ceti Alpha, and of course the events of what's widely considered the best Trek movie of the lot. Would I like to see the Eugenic Wars? I don't know. They're such a quagmire of conflicting facts at this point, but they would also be really cool. But this is a good idea for a story as well.
And how would the Eugenics Wars not be "another generic prequel"?

5) Does Khan remember La'an? I wouldn't be too surprised if this isn't referenced at all. Why would it? "Did I ever tell you Marla about the mysterious woman who visited my dorm room when I was a child and vanished before my eyes?"
4) Will they acknowledge SNW's "timeline changes"? I doubt it.
3) How long did Marla survive? Stands to reason this will be addressed anyway, I don't need Screen Rant to point out it's potential story material.

Walter Koenig likes to say that Khan recognized Chekov because Chekov once stank up the bathroom while Khan was waiting in line.
I suppose they wonder why Chekov in particular sticks in Khan's mind. Then again, they're possibly oversimplifying things; anyone from the Enterprise might be "YOU!" to Khan.
