Kelvin Timeline all but confirmed

Actually, Diana turns up in both, meaning they take place in the same universe somehow. They cancelled it before they revealed how.

Not the same Diana.

Same actress, of course. And same character name. But that's it.

There's literally no way both versions of V could coexist in the same universe. Even the Visitors themselves are, biologically, completely different. It's not just differences in looks (like the Klingons) which could be reconciled. They are literally completely different beings.

And because Jane Badler probably just wanted to do it. V was by far her biggest role, and I'm sure she jumped at the chance to do the remake. You think she cared that she's playing a different Diana? I doubt it.

Not proof at all as the Kelvin timeline is virtually unknown to us where as TOS is! The Klingons and UFOP had a bad start in the beginning but apart from the odd skirmish or raid on planets near the border they never went to war in the original timeline! If they had of done then why were Kirk and Spock so shocked in Errand of Mercy at their guessing that negotiations had broken down? Even if you don't accept this then we can agree to disagree!

Agree to disagree then. Admiral Marcus states that war "is coming" whereas in Discovery war is already engaged, with thousands of casualties. And Into Darkness is at least five to ten years after when Discovery is set.

About two years.

As others have said, not the same character, but same actress. Marc Singer also appeared in the finale, but as Lars Tremont, not as Mike Donovan. Same thing.

Really kind of wished that show went on. It started getting interesting, especially as they began introducing members of the original cast.

I think I saw one episode of the remake and wasn't impressed to be honest! I loved the original two part mini series, liked the second but the TV series wasn't that good, especially with it's far reduced budget and corny storylines with one episode inserted (#3) which contradicted #2 & #4!

Lets just say that they weren't considered outright blasphemy before Disney took over, they are now.

Some of the old EU books and graphic novels were so bad they probably should have been considered blasphemy. The less said about many of them the better.

Ugh.

In the Kelvin timeline, Klingons as of 2259 have "conquered and occupied two planets that we know of, and fired on our ships half a dozen times. They are coming our way." according to Admiral Marcus. Still no war as of 2263.

Definitely not the Discoveryverse, where the Federation are at war with the Klingon Empire in 2256/7.
