Oh, okay, oldstredshrtevr, if you insist...let's have a look toward the future. He was filming Priest at this time (this was at the Scream awards), so here's hoping this is more than a hint of what Black Hat will look like:

I've been looking at this pic and resemblance to other actors keep coming to mind - most notably these two:

More Ross than Robert but if they had a son, he'd probably look like Karl!

OMG, Kitty, it's so funny that you pick Ross Martin (and you're absolutely right now that I look at the photo), because I had the biggest crush on him when I was younger. Wild Wild West is one of my all-time favorite shows, and Ross Martin is extremely high on the list of my personal hall-of-fame actors. I really can see the resemblance between them. Good catch!
P.S. I didn't find this out till years later, but Ross Martin once tried to pick up my mom, who was a gorgeous platinum blonde at the time, at a hotel bar in Detroit in the mid-1950s. However, she turned him down. Who knows, if she had said yes we could have been talking about my dad! Although I prefer the dad I ended up with, of course.
P.P.S. Thanks, trampledamage! I don't have time to clean my house or organize my closets, but I seem to have plenty of time to find great photos of Karl Urban on the web. How screwed up is that?

I don't find it very hard at all to see Karl Urban in the Artie role. A shame there's no new remake of WWW in the offing anytime soon, if at all. The lameass Will Smith/Kevin Kline movie from 11 years ago is so awful I'm surprised Ross Martin didn't rise from the grave and eat the brains of the men who greenlighted that stinkbomb...provided, of course, they had any brains to start with.
Me too. He's one of the only actors who can do BOTH a De Kelley and a Ross Martin.

Haldir is my favourite character in the LOTR movies - and says my favourite line: "The dwarf breathes so loud, we could have shot him in the dark" - wonderful!

Hadn't seen any news before now about who he was playing, but once I knew the plot of the movie my money was on him being a bad guy! I bet Brian Cox is too
