Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

I have to get watching more old DeForrest Kelley movies! I've seen Gunfight at the OK Corral, but that was way back - I was into westerns before I was into Trek :)
I still like westerns; I usually have a Louis L'Amour re-read going, and I leave the satellite on Westerns channel all the time. I'm finishing up recording to DVD all the Westerns channel Gene Autry movies and Gene Autry TV show episodes. Westerns channel made a big project of it and restored them.

I think De had a nice, compact musculature in those pix. It was definitely there; not too thin. Very nice.

This is the first round of McCoy screen caps! Enjoy!

I have about twenty more but I am going to spread them out over a couple of days. I don’t want people’s heads to explode due to a yummy McCoy overload. (I am looking at you CD.)

AstroSmurf, I love you. :luvlove: Thank you so much for these pics! You're very generous to share them with us.

ETA: Good Lord, I just realized every photo you chose of him highlights those incredibly yummy pillow lips. What a sight to see just before you go to sleep...

^ I managed to snap several of those... just for you. :bolian:

And Mrs_Whatsit the lip thing was completely unintentional. I did not realize that I my love for his lips had subconsciously instructed me to cap them at their nicest. *sigh*

Hahahahah! I was hitting the Quote button as I read this paragraph. :guffaw:

Oh, and in my film acting class,
he gave us homework- we have to choose a movie to watch and look at the camera angles and how the actors negotiated the space with the cameras in mind. Now I have to think hard about what movie I'm going to use for my example......

Karl agrees with us about what should be in XII:

Karl Urban, who played Dr. McCoy in the Trek reboot, took the exact opposite stance, putting it out there that he wanted to see more action next time around — with McCoy neck-deep in it.
“I watch that space-jump scene and the fighting, and I say, ‘I want in on that,’” Urban said. “I want to see McCoy mixing it up a little bit.”
Quoted from here - it was an interview at the DVD release party.

And with this series of DVD screencaptures...all the women in this thread experience one simultaneous, collective orgasm and forevermore hobble the TREK XI forums from functioning correctly.

I think Karl was all but channeling the very soul and spirit of De Kelley in certain scenes, most notably the verbal sparring between McCoy and Spock on the bridge after Kirk is exiled on Delta Vega. Karl's "Is that a thank you?" even sounds like De Kelley's voice! Spooky!:techman:

I have the second round of McCoy screen caps ready! Enjoy!

I love the last one. He looks so innocent yet bad boy at the same time.
