Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

Any guy who'd conduct an interview with his own movie action figure lovingly swaying in his hands? Cool enough for ME.

His dedicated interest in producing a good action figure is the reason I bought it. I like all the guys, but his action figured looked like Karl. That made it worth it; well, that and the fun everybody here was having with them. I normally don't buy anything except DVD's and movie tickets.

Please indulge me posting this, since we have in the past discussed Bruce here; he doesn't have his own thread. It's from Trek News. I'm really glad to hear it.

Room for Greenwood in Star Trek XII
Posted by T'Bonz - 04/11/09 at 01:11 pm

Bruce Greenwood, who played Christopher Pike in Star Trek XI, is eager to be a part of Star Trek XII.

“I can hardly wait,” said Greenwood, talking about the sequel to J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek reboot. Greenwood has spoken to Abrams about Star Trek XII, and Greenwood’s participation in the film. “…there are no guarantees,” said Greenwood. “J.J., one of the nicest guys on the planet, has indicated there will be a place in the project for me.”

Star Trek XII is expected to begin shooting next summer.

Greenwood’s latest project, a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie called A Dog Named Christmas, will air on November 29. A Dog Named Christmas is the story of a developmentally-challenged young man who convinces his family to participate in an “adopt a dog for Christmas” program. Greenwood plays the father of the young man.

This is my new favorite picture of Karl. He looks like a naughty little boy about to get into some trouble:

Heh, that picture is hilarious!

JERI, thanks for posting that info about Greenwood!! I'm hoping he's in the next one and that he plays a healthy Pike! I positively loved the scene where Kirk is freeing him from the torture 'bed' and Pike whips Kirk's gun out and shoots the Rommie. That man is BADDASS!

Randi, yes! It is a fun moment! :D I hope those two gets some father/son time. If not in the movies, then in the books.

Great thought Jeri. He rather is a father figure to kirk. Could make for some great dialogue and scenes between them. *keeping fingers crossed they make him healthy and put him in the next one*

Bruce Greenwood is a good actor and I loved him in this movie. It doesn't hurt - I have to point out in this thread that's in homage to one of the hot younger guys - that Greenwood is also lots of fun to look at. Just thought somebody should mention that! ;)

Oh my yes! And his voice...

If they make the next movie the McCoy and Pike show I'll be happy!

I hope the relationship will be fleshed out and please throw in Greenwood because he was so good.

I think it's a surefire bet Greenwood will reprise Pike in TREK XII. The only catch might be if he has some issue with wanting to do another movie since based on so many TV interviews this past summer he seems more into playing music than acting these days. But even if his heart wouldn't be 100% in it I imagine Paramount will wag enough cash in front of him to make him say yes.;)
