Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

Im 34...almost 35. But get mistaken for a person who's anywhere from 20 or 21 and in college all the way up to 40-45. When I grow beard hair there's pepper gray in it so that leads some to think I'm even older than I am in reality.
Ahh... you're a young'un...now get off my lawn...

I sure as hell don't FEEL it sometimes. I feel like I have a 3,000-year-old soul.

If you look really hard at Crusher Disciple's avatar, I'm pretty sure that's a cooleddie action figure Karl is showing off, isn't it?

I am not sure why but Flash Forward fell flat for me.
I like Jospeh Fiennes. I love John Cho.

I just did not feel any sense of urgency. I knew there should be, but I felt nothing.

I will be watching next week though. I want to know what the hobbit with the habit (Merry B/Charlie) is up to.

Back on topic....I wonder how freaky they will make him look for priest.
What few snaps I have seen thus far scream dirty and unwholesome looking.

If only. I could use the spare pocket cash. If it were of me, there'd have to be Squiggy and Awesome Possum figures as well in a special, collector's edition 3-pack.

I am really looking forward to that movie! Coming out first for Paul Bettany and director Scott Stewart is Legion where Bettany plays the Archangel Michael protecting a small group of humans against the apocalypse. It looks awesome - although I'm a sucker for long coats and tattoos ;)

Between Karl and Gary Sinise it's hard to tell who'd have been the better McCoy. Karl probably.

Gary Sinise would have been fantastic, I'm sure, if they had caught him in his late 30s. I've always thought, since the first time I saw him years and years ago, that he looks and even sounds like DeForest Kelley.

But truthfully, it's hard to think of anyone else but Karl Urban in the part of NuMcCoy now. I had a chance the other night to watch clips from the movie on my laptop while my husband was watching the TOS episode about the Kelvans on TV, so my eyes were going back and forth between the two and comparing them. Karl did such an incredible job with everything--the facial expressions, the vocal inflections--he had it all down. Watching that also made me even more impressed with the jobs Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto did.

I agree. Sinise in the role would've ben a real treat. But having said that I don't think I'd want to bend Sinise over and make him holler as I would with Karl. :alienblush:

I was eating an ice cream bar as I read this, and part of it ended up on my laptop screen because I laughed so hard. It was worth having to do a little cleanup, though. :guffaw:

Sinise is a little older than Karl to be sure, but between the two of them they could accurately portray a McCoy aging from his late 20s into his late 40s. Had there been a flash forward in the movie I could see Sinise being the older McCoy.
