Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

^ Very! :rommie:

Oh my. I have been away and missed a some of the new "pretty". Karl is just yummy, scruffy or otherwise.

And I am also embarrassed (but secretly pleased) to report that I had almost broke my Karl habit but my obsession won out and McCoy is back as my desktop wallpaper. I almost can't get any work done because those beautiful eyes keep distracting me. *sigh*

Oh and the newest McCoy action figure (with him in blue) is due to come out in the next month or so. I can't wait to buy him too. Then I will have all four to play with... okay three. I have still not taken my big McCoy doll out of his box!

I have the black-and-white lineup of the big 7 from the movie poster on my desktop at work, and I have to cover his face up with the windows I'm working in so I don't get distracted. Otherwise I take too many mental breaks to gaze. I would have to say that's one of my favorite pictures of him. He looks so...manly, take-charge, mature, hot <insert appropriate adjectives here>.

So all I see unless I minimize the windows to take a random peek is Simon Pegg at the extreme left of my screen giving me a Rasputin-stare, and Anton Yelchin at the right with puppy-dog eyes. They don't distract me.

I really need to get watching that movie!

Of course, it would help if I actually sat down at the TV occasionally.

Hmm... maybe I can send mr trampledamage out with the kids at the weekend...

I wonder if this movie helped get him cast as Mc Coy. He's doing a triage thing now and he looks totally in control of the whole ER doctor thing.

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

Brunette. After watching him as Caesar and Cupid on Xena, blonde hair looks just wrong with his dark brows. And I always thought his hairdo on LOTR just looked too light and stringy.

But hell, I'll take the man any way I can get him.

Nice clip! I'm so proud of my googling...found that nifty Attack of the Show interview! He's just awesome. :techman:

Yes he is! Take a look through the entire thread - there's lots of clips in here.

Which reminds me, I haven't actually watch all of the Star Trek premiere in Kuwait ones yet!

You really should view the videos ASAP. Otherwise you'll be missing much cute Karl-ness. Boy, let me tell you, had I been one of those female soldiers, I'd have detained him for intense questioning...in my quarters. He's that adorable.

Actually, I wouldn't even have to be a soldier to do that. Heck, I'd do it as a civilian. And then I'd ask him to visit all of you in turn so you could...umm, question him, too.

ETA: I really need to see this movie again. Darn this busy summer--ever since it's made it to the cheap show, I've had other things going on and haven't been able to see it. I'm jonesing for the crack that is this movie for me!

Okay, through his IMDB page I just found YouTube videos that prove Karl is one of the best sports ever. He and Martin Henderson evidently did some hip-hop style dancing for the New Zealand Kidscan telethon recently. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. I've seen him talk about this organization in other interviews, so I knew he was pretty dedicated to it. How cool of both him and Martin to join in the fun.

Part 1 - the set-up
Part 2 - the dance

Honest to Pete, the man's gonna have to kick puppies on camera or something to make me not swoon over him. Everything I find out about him just makes him hotter and hotter!

ETA: Here's another video that took place later that night. No dancing, but still worth watching.
