One of the things I love about the creation of Scruffy is how he looks so much older there than when he's scrubbed up fresh as a cadet.
If you just saw the screenshots, you'd think Scruffy was from the end of the movie, or the cadet stuff was a flashback.

yeah i agree with that.
when i fist saw the death and disease thing i thought for sure it was years later..
and interesting observation about the knot..
but i dont see the performance as imitiation..
more like channneling.
it was more deep and subtle then just imitation.
urban understood the soul of the character.
and some of my friends didnt know much about the movie but when they heard the i dont need a doctor i am doctor and saw him they knew it was bones.
in fact you could hear laughter and people going yeah bones the first several times i saw the movie.
For anyone who has TBS on their cable system, they're showing "Doom" at 10 p.m. tonight (Thursday) and 10:00 a.m. Friday. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a so-so movie (okay, probably closer to crappy), but there's lotsa Karl.

It means I'm now a moderator - which basically means I have to make sure the rules aren't being broken
Because there are so many different forums on the BBS, each forum has a different set of moderators. M'Sharak is the main moderator for Trek XI. I'm a new moderator for the lounges (down at the bottom of the forum list!)
I get to be green everywhere, but I have no mod powers outside the forums I look after.

EEEE! I have a superimposed photo I found online of him in one of these (actually done pretty well, although no arms, Jeri, sorry. And the shoulders are a bit small).
But isn't he cute here? He looks like John Barrowman, I think (which is a good thing in my book).

You did a beautiful job on this, Captain Janeway. I LOVE this photo. It's what got me truly excited about the upcoming Star Trek movie. I had run across it a long time ago, probably not long after you posted it, but didn't bookmark where I had originally seen it. You have to register to access the gallery, though. I had to do this to try and prevent most of my stuff from getting picked up by the Google and Yahoo image search engines because then people often grab my artwork without realizing that it's actually under some sort of intellectual property.

Best thing about td going green? I started another Karl Urban pic thread in the Admiral's Lounge to lure her in there.
