Hello! First post on the board, and i just wanted to say thanks for two lovely days spent reading every single post in this thread and also the "Who's your daddy?" poll thread. Needless to say, new Bones is my daddy!
I had never seen Karl before the ST movie, but I've had a crush on Dr. McCoy since I was a little girl watching the first-run eps of TOS on NBC in the mid-60s. Although, like many of you, I felt a little weird all these years crushing on someone old enough to be my dad. But I just saw the movie for the 6th time this weekend (and I'm pretty sure my husband's going to stage an intervention before too much longer), and I have fallen in love with the movie and also with Dr. McCoy all over again. Karl's version of the character is not only spot-on, but it's hot, hot, hot--all the McCoy, with none of the guilt!
I look forward to spending lots of time in this thread, and BTW, I also come bearing a sort-of gift: For those who have never seen it (which includes me), I just saw this morning that they're going to be showing The Bourne Supremacy on NBC Sunday night, July 5th, at 9 p.m. I've never watched a Bourne movie, but I'm definitely going to watch this one now.
P.S. And to answer this thread's question, definitely brunet. Plus I like him older, with a little more mileage on him (scruffy McCoy is my favorite part of the movie) and I LOVE the way the man wears a suit--rawr!

Bourne Supremacy is a brilliant move, and Karl is fantastic in it. One of the few movies of this sort where the bad guy (Karl) doesn't make a ton of stupid mistakes that help the good guy get away.
Scruffy McCoy is fabulous, isn't he? What an introduction to the character - I hope we see more Scruff in the next movie.

(Sorry, but I've never used a PC since the year 1984, when Macs came out. I think we still have all of them in working order in the basement, too. They are good hardware, but the operating systems move on, as we all know...)
I only know how to do it on a Mac. You hold down the Control key while clicking on the image, and you get a pull-down menu where you can choose "copy image location." Copy it and then put that url in your link.

That normally works as a right-click on the mouse with a PC, but I can't get that menu to come up with the IMDb pictures.

I was starting to think I was the only around-50 woman who was acting like a teeny-bopper over this movie, but now I feel better--there appear to be all ages here! But hey, I'd rather be a hot-to-trot middle-ager than an old fuddy-duddy.

As opposed to the Cartman we all know and some of us love, Evil Cartman was sweet, kind, and caring with a conscience. Stan and Kyle wanted to keep Evil Cartman and send the real Cartman back to the evil universe. So there's precedence for your thought, CD.
