Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

I just saw them introduce the Nero footage--he looks positively yummy in that black shirt with the longish hair. And John Cho looked adorable, too. Not enough of them, however!

At this point, Cho is the only reason i am still watching Fast Forward.

I kind of lost interest after 2 or 3 episodes.

Currently enjoying the DVD. Part of new signature will come from there (depending on when I get it done). So true what they say about Urban. And Zach too.

(I can see da bunny and others wanting this movie on dvd/br now)

I suppose the show could be far worse considering so many series in its genre end up sucking and horribly so. For its kind of program it isn't BAD per se. Just hasn't impressed me so far and if it's going to it better do so soon.

Hi everybody! This is my first ever post on Trek BBS! I fell in love with the new film and I've spent the past few days devouring this thread - you all crack me up!

I just found out something about the magazine company I work for that I just had to post about. We run a magazine about a pony mad girl called Wendy, and in the early 90's it was made into a TV series called Riding High - set in New Zealand. Turns out a young Karl played the part of Wendy's boyfriend! I squeed so hard when my boss showed me the pic!

I can't seem to put the image on here (it keeps coming up massive!) but I thought you might like to see a young Karl!

Pfft! Why "wait" when you can just hop a plane and break into some bloke's apartment when he's out grocery shopping?

I ain't go grocery shopping until Tuesday. I should buy some food ... but I ain't. Maybe you should move to Australia (as it's awesome) and I'd even buy it for you.

Welcome, herdrakness! This is a great thread, isn't it? It's the one that persuaded me to set down roots and register for the BBS. There are a lot of great people here--all just twisted enough to be fun!

Thank you for posting that picture of Karl--my goodness, he looks so young and pretty there! His younger photos always remind me of David Tennant for some reason (which is a good thing--I love DT). So is the movie your first exposure to Karl? It was for me, but I've been trying to make up for my oversight since then. :)

Wonderful first post! A gorgeous picture - I know what you mean about the resemblance to David Tennant, Mrs_Whatsit. It might be all that hair :)

Thanks for sharing herdrakness, and welcome to the best thread on the BBS

Welcome! We're all glad to have you here, and we hope you have lots and lots of fun with the rest of us!:techman:

Karl was brilliant as Bones hope to see how the trio bonds with Kirk being captain now do you think we will see Bones and Kirk, Spock get on.

It'll never be AS good or tight an on-screen relationship as Shatner/Nimoy/Kelley but I think it has the potential to be pretty close...provided we get enough movies for it to develop.

why do you not think Pine,Quinto and Urban will bond as well.

Well theyre going up against three decades' worth of on-screen bonding and more than 100 episodes, cartoons and movies for the original Troika. That's a tough hill to climb and match, but i think theyll do very well and establish their own inimitable chemistry well all love.

I'm hoping the relationships will be significantly different. The lives of Spock and Kirk are very different from the original timeline and it won't work in the same way as it did.

Thanks for the kind welcome, you guys do rock. :techman:

I come baring more pics form the Wendy shoot, enjoy. I love his bitchy face in one pic, so cute!

First exposure to Karl and Star Trek. Can't believe what I've been missing on both counts. My friend had written a few articles on the new film before it came out and dragged me along to see it - it was love at first viewing! I've since bought and watched all three seasons of TOS, the first 6 films and dived head first into fan fiction. I'm totally hooked!

Karl was a delight to watch - I realised I had The Bourne Supremacy and Lord of the Rings on my shelf and watched them again through new eyes, giving due attention to our guy. I also ran out and bought Doom. So hot in that one!

A little advice - is it worth getting the Price of Milk and Out of the Blue? Do they give good Karl? I'm tempted by Xena, I've seen some pics and Karl does look yummy, plus I've always had a weaknes for Julius Caesar! Which season(s) does Karl appear?
