Right right, sorry. For some reason I was thinking they were going to the 28th.Hence, Discovery arrived 110 years later.
Yes - HORRIBLE that they look at how things are received and decide to go with popular things the audience likes.I know Kadin isn't a creative type - she's more a suit and Kurtzman's second in command. But the answer about Calypso got me very, very concerned. She basically admitted it (like the other Short Treks) were meant as standalone stories. However, because of the impact of the story, and particular how much they like Aldis Hodge, they want to "work it it in."
This basically means on some level they're really giving things like casting desires greater weight than story integrity, and still flying by the seat of their pants. Because if you bring Craft into the story, you likely have to at minimum resurrect the whole V'Draysh thing and explain it. even if it wasn't your original intent. So you might end up constructing your entire season arc around an interesting musing Michael Chabon had because you want an excuse to use Aldis Hodge again. Anyone else think this seems like a horribly bad idea.
On the other hand, what Kadin said was so vague that it's possible we're not even going to see Craft until the fourth season. Which would be better, because it would give them time to figure out how the hell he found himself on an empty Discovery left vacant for 1,000 years to begin with, rather than trying to shoehorn it in now.
It's kind of hard to get rid of Georgiou in DSC Season 3, she kinda got stuck with them at the end of Season 2. So something must happen for them or at least her to get back to the 23rd. Unless she's going to be part of a 28th century S31.
Or perhaps it's even more daring...
They may even try to resurrect Prime Georgiou. We saw her get stabbed with a bat'leth, but that can always be cured offscreen. And even if L'Rell said that they ate her, that doesn't make it true.
