I believe, and I could be mistaken, that double jeopardy only applies if he's found not guilty after a trial.In a case like this, if they found more evidence later, could they charge him again, or would that fall under double jeopardy? I can never remember how all of that works.

Of course you can. There are multiple examples of non-professionals doing near-flawless versions of the voices. There's nothing unique about his voice, literally or creatively.You can't replace him in this instance.
He hasn't written for the show for years. He's only been doing the voices, completely written by other people.But he didn't just do the voices. He created the show. The shows often warped and edgy world view no doubt comes from him. You might get some passable stories but it will never match the heights of when it was a great show.
