Justice League official "Zack Snyder" cut on HBO Max

I haven't.
I had that as a kid. It might still be in a box at my parents' house (though it'll be quite some time before I can check with the COVID border restrictions at the moment).

Who actually said that they weren't?

Please. In this thread, and the review threads for Wonder Woman and Aquaman, various members burned pages claiming those films were separate from MoS/DoJ either because of story, general hatred of Snyder, and the erroneous argument that the plots were not linked, when they clearly are. Even in this thread--

It really isn't.

Even though changes were made to Justice League that took it away from Zack Snyder, Aquaman's script and story - which were developed based on what Snyder wanted to do with Justice League - were not similarly changed.

--the truth had to be explained as seen above because some are so Hell-bent on arguing a wholly fantasized separation of Aquaman (and Wonder Woman), when they are undeniably linked. JL is the odd film out because of idiotic, non-Snyder changes with hiring Whedon at the top of that list.

I have a copy, but its in rough shape. Seeing the Filmation Shazam on the cover was so exciting back when this was published.

If there are Two Justice leagues movies.

And Each Movie is on a different Earth.

Then only one of Justice League Movie can be connected to all the other Movies, if every other movie takes place on exactly the same earth..

Oh...

Suicide Squad, plus Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey too.

P.S.

Maybe if one of the Justice league movies is very very lonely, it can share continuity with Joker?

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I don't believe JD was arguing anything of the sort. He's just saying that the references in Aquaman could work equally well when watching the theatrical version of Justice League or (presumably) the Snyder version.

I concede I may be blind, but I don't see him saying that MOS/BvS/WW/AQ are not connected nor in different universes from one another.

The bottom line of this whole line of discussion is this: regardless of Zack Snyder's personal viewpoint, his version of JL is conceptually linked directly to the DCEU's core, making the question of its Canonicity a matter of individual determinative opinion.

Exactly.
The DCEU movies all take place in the same universe, except the Snyder Cut, which is it's own separate thing.
The last part is not a matter of opinion, it is a fact that has been stated by Zack Snyder himself.

^ The 'Snyder Cut' being non-Canon to the DCEU is very much an opinion. It's an opinion espoused by Zack Snyder, but it's still just an opinion.

Well...with Star Trek we liked to believe that TV and Movies were the same.

The Marvel Movies had no respect for Agents of SHIELD, even after they made them a Hellicarrier.

By what stretch of the imagination is Fox's The Gifted in the same shared Universe as Hulu's The Runaways?

Little boxes made of ticky tack.

Snyder said that his Justice League cut won't line up with Aquaman, Shazam and Wonder Woman 84. But if there is a continuation of his Justice League or a HBO Batfleck series (rumor only) then I can see the continuity going in two different directions, a Cinematic continuity and HBO max continuity.

This is just my idea, I'm not saying they'd ever do it like this but...

Cinematic Universe - Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League (Whedon Cut), Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey The Suicide Squad, Shazam 2, Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman 2.

Snyder Universe - Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad (or Ayer Cut?), Wonder Woman, Justice League (Snyder cut) - (speculation from here) - Batfleck series, Justice League Sequel series.

Do we actually care about the continuity implications of the Snyder Cut? Is that a thing people care about? I mean the odds of getting more movies in this "universe" with explicit links to any particular cut of JL is decidedly slim. DC/WB seem to have elected to go more for standalones with tenuous (if any) connections to each other, plus the odd elseworlds tale.

If they eventually do go for a JL2, what version of those events they'll consider "canon" would probably be entirely up to whoever makes that movie. I can't see the suits giving a crap unless the Snyder cut turned out to be very VERY profitable.
Of they can just do a Flashpoint thing and make BOTH cuts canon.

Anything possible considering we are getting a Snyder cut now. They've started filming scenes that either they didn't get a chance to film originally or are entirely new and considering they gave him money to finish it and they have returning cast members it seems like they are making something of an investment here and want to see how it's received and the profit it will make.

I've rested a lot of my hopes on the Flashpoint movie fixing a lot of things.
