No such thing as in name only. Comics are varied story telling formats.
Safe, predictable, entirely disposable. They are just fine but ultimately unsatisfying over and over again.
Give me the variety. Give me the risk. Otherwise Tim Burton's Batman should be thrown out as "in name only" bullbecause it isn't faithful to the comics and Adam West is the more faithful adaptation.

This is a bit of a tangent, but you know that the Superhero film genre is kind of in a messed-up place when the most anticipated film from said genre is the unnecessary sequel to The Matrix Trilogy (I say 'unnecessary' because the Trilogy tells an amazing self-contained story).
As of yesterday, my new most anticipated film in the genre is the "Flash" movie. (Supergirl!

Yes, Jr. was the nephew. And as far as I know, we never learned anything about either parents. Aside from his father probably being James' brother, either that or his parents went into marriage with the same surname.
DC is going to do a Snyder Cut variant cover for March's issue of the Justice League comic, and Zack Snyder tweeted out Jim Lee's artwork for it. What makes this especially noteworthy is that Martian Manhunter is very prominently featured on the cover, and this might be our first glance at what J'onn might look like in the movie.
I never heard of that before. The theme song is hilarious, I love those cartoon themes.
It actually said in the theme song that he learned everything from his uncle James. Although personally, I don't know if I'd want my kid learning "everything" from James Bond.
