Justice: Actually pretty damn funny!

Just watched it today for the very first time. I know most people here hate it but I found it so awkward as to make it absolutely hilarious! I'd probably rate it as one of my favorite episodes now! I loved alot of the lines, I was laughing so hard through parts of it!

I always get a chuckle out of Wesley's "I'm Starfleet, we don't lie" line especially after The First Duty.

"Nice planet."

How can ya not love something that features Brenda Bakke in a skimpy outfit?

Wesley should have said, I'm starfleet, and I am gay!

Wesley should have been killed off the minute he went to school.. I would have been a good ending. When he was a part of that demonstration team...

No big loss on a main character.

I may be assualted for saying this, but I never had a problem with the infamous "I'm with Starfleet, we don't lie" line. To me, it sounded like an idealistic 15-year-old kid who was trying to sound big, and show that he really did belong in that adult position.

That being said, I still found Wesley to be an annoying, misused character.

I could've done without the terrible blonde perms they put on some of the women and the guys in the pink skimpy outfits.

And Wesley acting like a "big boy" and Wesley being the only 14 year old male in the history of the universe to not have a functioning libido, "There's some games I don't know how to play yet."

And... Well, I guess I could've done without quite a bit of this episode. It's not an overall terrible episode, it does have some good moments in it, like Picard's convo with Data in the Starboard Lounge but mostly, this episode makes me want to throw things at my TV.

Wesley tells them to get a bat. When they don't know what it is, he describes Worf's penis. It's not awkward at all.

Never had any trouble not loving it, actually. It was cringe-worthy the first time it aired, and the fact that it showed up again every single time the show went into new-episode hiatus for the next year or two-- ...well, that was just icing. If I never saw this one again, it would be too soon.

Yeah; it's not something that, say, Picard could plausibly say, but for Wesley it's just the sort of ``I haven't ever actually run into the real world, but I've read some very funny comments online about it'' attitude it's plausible for him to have.

They tried really hard with that episode, I give it a lot of points at trying to relevant and not have a simplistic message, but it's an early STNG episode which had all the faults of TOS' 3rd season. Still, the ending act is actually well acted (especially by Stewart) and elevates it from being a BAD episode.

Wil did a really funny retro-review of Justice over at TVSquad. But then again, his character was gay so I guess it doesn't matter.
