Just a thought I had and wanted to share.

I was thinking about the next bad guy and some other poster mentioned having Humans as the next bad guy.

We know that many founding Federation members planets were close together. You have Earth, Vulcan, Andor and Teller in close proximity just to name a few.

Well the story goes like this, centuries ago an advanced alien race visited all these worlds, Earth and Andoria etc and abducted many people from each world.

This alien race wanted to run a test that involved putting all these different species on one single planet and watch how they each progressed and what happened when they discovered their world was being inhabited by other species.

After centuries the Human population of the planet gained dominance over the others and subjugated them turning them into a slave class.
All of the different species despised each other after centuries of war and mistrust.

The Humans developed warp drive and set off out into space.

These Humans meet the Federation and realise all the Andorians and Tellerites etc are all united. These other Humans however cannot ignore their prejudices and become aggressive towards the Federation.

So they even want to make war against other humans then? Because they live in peace with other species? Hmmmm. I think we need a clearer picture of who they are, what they want and why they want it.

From when in Earth history were the humans taken? Which humans? 17th century English Puritans? 13th Century Mamluk warriors? 1st Century Romans? Ming dynasty Chinese? It makes a difference in how they might react and what sort of culture might arise.

You describe what sounds like a violent, racist, speciesist, militaristic, imperialistic human culture. Just xenophobic ideas mixed with greed and? Lets go into that a bit more. Why do they think this way, and what are they after? If its just attacking multi-species civilizations because they dont like other species, I think we are left with something a bit flat.

Are the humans and others aware that they were brought there by another civilization? Why not blame them instead? Or make an alliance with some against others? Or all work together? And who is this alien species that brought them all to this world? What happened to them?

With Puritans or Taliban, you know what they want. Just as with the Borg and the Daleks. What do these people want? They come across as just bah-humbug Grinches who hate interracial and interspecies unity.
