Well, I've seen her in The Good Wife, New Girl, and The Walking Dead and found her performances just fine, as I did in Discovery.

Sonequa was just fine in TWD. I'm surprised at the number of people who think she's a bad actress simply because they don't like Michael Burnham.

I like Michael and Sonequa, but the writing and acting of the character hasn't really blown me way. Sonequa is great on interview shows, but sadly her personality doesn't fit Michael's character.

I've only seen her in Once Upon A Time. She was okay in that. I think she's kind of humourless but it's hard to know how much is script and how much is performance. Like I was watching Geneviève Bujold as Captain Nicole Janeway in a scene exact to the one we see Kate Mulgrew act in. That is where you get to see the same script and other actors virtually repeat their performance, yet the two actresses could not have been more different in their interpretations.

I don't think Sonequa is a bad actress but she's no star.
